- Compared with the stock intercoolers on the 991, the AWE ColdFront™ Intercoolers feature cores that are 17% larger (523 vs. 448 cubic inches). Unlike the factory units, these intercoolers use a high-flow bar-and-plate design built to AWE’s specific charge row and fin count standards. This configuration delivers roughly 20% lower intake air temperatures and 50% higher pressure resistance through the cores. When paired with the AWE 991 Turbo Performance Exhaust, S-FLO Carbon Intake, and G.I.A.C Stage 2 software, the improved airflow and thermal management enabled the 991 Turbo S to achieve dyno-verified peak gains of 26 HP and 21 ft-lbs of torque at the crank, translating to nearly a full-second reduction in 60–130 mph acceleration times.
- We engineered the largest intercooler cores that the 991TT rear fenders could accommodate, which meant the stock ducts were no longer compatible. To ensure efficient delivery of fresh, cool air to the cores, properly designed ducts were required—enter the AWE Carbon Fiber ducts. They bolt directly to the ColdFront™ Intercooler Kit, providing a clean, plug-and-play fit with no trimming or modification needed, all backed by the AWE Fitment Guarantee.
