The AWE Tuning Carbon AirGate Intake for the 8V/8S Audi S3, TTS, and MK7 Volkswagen Golf R is handcrafted from genuine 2×2 carbon fiber, designed, engineered, and tested entirely in-house at AWE. It integrates perfectly with the OEM air inlet, retains all stock mounting locations, and is finished with UV-stabilized resin and clear coat to hold up against under-hood heat over the long term. The system comes with a durable, washable high-flow AWE S-FLO filter and is available with or without the AirGate lid, delivering max gains of 9 hp and 16 ft-lb of torque at the wheels on the Golf R with stage 2 software.

The MQB AirGate

• The AirGate Carbon Intake gives the option to run with or without the lid, and switching between the two takes nothing more than a few turns of three accessible hex screws. Pull the lid off to let more turbo induction sounds into the cabin, or bolt it back on to keep things quiet and tucked away.

The S-FLO Filter

• The included AWE S-FLO filter sits directly in the path of ram air from the front inlet, maximizing airflow and keeping service straightforward. That positioning is what allows the system to pull max gains of 9 hp and 9 ft-lb of torque out of the Golf R when paired with stage 2 software.
