The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the G2X BMW M340i and BMW M440i removes the Touring Edition’s sound-smoothing elements in favor of straight-through sections, allowing the B58 inline-six to express a more direct and aggressive character. The system produces a louder, sharper tone under throttle and during spirited driving, with more pronounced growl on cold starts and higher RPMs, while still maintaining usable balance at lower speeds. The quad diamond black tips give the rear a purposeful, understated appearance that integrates cleanly with the factory valance. Constructed from T304L stainless steel and engineered as a direct bolt-on, the Track Edition prioritizes raw exhaust sound and airflow while retaining compatibility with the factory valve system, making it a practical choice for enthusiasts who want a more engaging and performance-oriented auditory experience.

Track Edition Exhaust

• The AWE Track Edition is engineered for a raw, aggressive exhaust tone.
• Retains the same bespoke stainless steel stamped merge and precision engineering as the Touring Edition but omits AWE’s 180 Technology®, saving roughly 11 lbs over stock.
• Replaces the 180 Technology® resonators with dual Track Edition straight sections, producing a notably louder and more forceful mid-range sound.
• Increased interior noise and intensity during acceleration and deceleration are inherent to the design.
• Because of its specific sound characteristics, the Track Edition cannot be returned for preference reasons; this should be considered before purchase.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system includes three 4.5-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips in chrome silver or diamond black, each stamped with the AWE logo, and the tips can be individually adjusted to set their projection from the bumper for a personalized fit.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE carefully studied the factory exhaust valve under a range of driving conditions and found no significant change in overall volume between modes, with the valve remaining closed only in Comfort mode and opening once a throttle threshold is reached; in Sport and Sport+ it stays open, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles, and in the stock setup, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce cabin volume and minimize drone, and through the center section when open for a more direct path.

Conversion Kits

• AWE designed the system for straightforward conversion between Track and Touring Editions, allowing interior sound levels to be adjusted as needed.
