The Track Edition removes the factory exhaust valves, and when that happens the ECU stores what is known as a soft code. A soft code is not the same as a check engine light; it will not appear on the dash and it is not harmful. However, it will show up when the car is scanned with a diagnostic tool. AWE Electronic Valve Simulators, sold separately, plug directly into the factory harness in place of the removed valves and prevent that code from being stored at all. If regular dealer service or a clean scan is important to you, the valve simulators are worth adding.

The AWE Tuning Track Edition Exhaust for the MK7.5 Volkswagen Golf R is designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house at AWE, handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent 3″ and 2.5″ U.S.-sourced .065″ wall T304L stainless steel. The passenger-side valve and driver-side muffler are removed in favor of a clean straight-through design that locks the exhaust in a permanent valve-open state, delivering full-time, unfiltered volume and max gains of 12hp and 9ft-lb of torque at the wheels on stock software with a turbo-back setup. The system bolts on directly without modification and finishes with 102mm double-walled slash-cut diamond black tips.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
