The AWE Track Edition Exhaust with diamond black tips for the 8V Audi S3 removes the valved restrictions of the SwitchPath system in favor of straight-through piping, allowing the 2.0T TFSI engine to deliver a more direct and aggressive sound. The exhaust emphasizes turbo spool, high-RPM character, and throttle response, producing a sharper, more pronounced note that is particularly noticeable under load and during spirited driving. Constructed from T304L stainless steel and designed as a direct bolt-on, the system retains precise fitment within the factory rear valance while the diamond black tips provide a subtle, performance-oriented finish, giving the S3 a more raw and connected exhaust experience without altering daily usability.

Track Edition Exhaust

• For those who prefer a rough and lively ride, the AWE Track Edition is the perfect choice. It provides the same finely-crafted, performance-driven engineering of the SwitchPath™ model without the passenger-side valve and driver-side muffler. This leaves the setting in a constant “valve open” state.
• Be warned that this version is highly raucous and might not be to the taste of many. Consequently it cannot be exchanged for sound preference reasons.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system is equipped with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black, each featuring a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, allowing for customization of their depth into the bumper based on personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During research and development, AWE conducted an extensive evaluation of the factory valve’s behavior under various driving conditions. They determined that there is no significant change in volume between modes requiring a valve. The valve remains closed only in comfort mode, opening upon reaching a throttle threshold. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve stays open, with Sport+ introducing burbles from the ECU. In the stock configuration, the exhaust routes through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce interior volume and drone-prone frequencies, and through the center when the valve is open.
