The AWE Touring-to-Track Conversion Kit for the GV and VA-generation Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STi is a straightforward way to transform an existing AWE Touring Edition exhaust into its more aggressive Track Edition counterpart. Instead of replacing the entire system, this kit swaps out the rear sections—removing the sound-canceling 180 Technology® resonators and replacing them with straight-through track pipes. The result is a noticeable increase in volume, sharper throttle response acoustics, and a more raw, unfiltered boxer engine note, especially under load and during downshifts. It’s designed to bolt directly onto the existing AWE mid-pipes, so fitment stays precise and installation remains simple for anyone already running the Touring setup. This makes it a practical option for drivers who want to experience both sides of the exhaust spectrum without committing to a completely new system.
