AWE Touring Edition Non-Resonated Exhaust for G2X BMW M340i & M440i

The AWE Tuning Non-Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust for the G2x BMW M340i and M440i is handcrafted from 3″ CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065″ wall T304L stainless steel and flows 65% more than stock, delivering max gains of 16hp and 12ft-lb of torque at the wheels on stock software. AWE’s patented 180 Technology keeps drone out of the cabin while preserving the full B58 tone, and the non-resonated configuration adds a bit more presence over the resonated version for drivers who want that extra edge. Those running race downpipes should opt for the resonated version for the best overall tone pairing. A mid-pipe inlet adapter is included for compatibility with both stock and aftermarket downpipes with 80mm outlets, and the system bolts on directly with no cutting required.

• Up front, a stamped stainless steel merge section flows the equivalent of dual 3” off the downpipe, delivering a 65% increase in flow over stock and future-proofing your setup for aftermarket downpipes. From there, the exhaust splits into true dual 3” piping before finishing out with AWE’s patented 180 Technology®, canceling the drone while preserving all the full-bodied, turbocharged B58 tone you want.

What is 180 Technology?

• Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. Depending on the sound requirements of each vehicle, AWE acoustic engineers adjust the size and location of the ports and the chambers. By controlling the size and location of these key elements, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves re-join the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.
