The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Exhaust for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a bespoke, valveless system handcrafted from 3″ CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065″ wall T304L stainless steel, engineered to eliminate the in-cabin tone change between V4 and V8 modes without the use of valves. AWE’s patented 180 Technology delivers a deep, consistent, drone-free exhaust note at all times while pushing max gains of 19hp and 15ft-lb of torque at the wheels. Robust 8″ flex sections isolate engine movement for long-term durability, and the system comes in 31lbs lighter than stock. The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust for the C8 Corvette Stingray and E-Ray is a bespoke, valveless, asymmetric system engineered to solve one of the C8’s most well-known quirks: the jarring tone change between V4 and V8 modes. Rather than relying on valves to manage the transition, AWE’s acoustic engineers developed a straight-through design paired with patented 180 Technology resonators that keep the tone consistent and drone-free at all times, regardless of which mode the car is running in. The result is a deep, full-bodied exhaust note that stays composed at highway speeds and opens up with authority when the throttle is pushed. Built from 3″ CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065″ wall T304L stainless steel with robust 8″ flex sections to handle engine movement, the system sheds 31lbs over stock while including AWE AFM valve simulators, NPP valve simulators, and a bespoke aluminum heat shield. It’s a system that was rigorously tested on the drag strip, road course, and street before it ever reached production, and the results speak for themselves.

What is 180 Technology?

AWE’s patented 180 Technology works by routing exhaust gases through strategically placed ports and into reflection chambers inside the resonator as they exit the engine. Sound waves travel with those gases and bounce off the chamber walls, and AWE acoustic engineers size and position each port and chamber based on the sound targets for that specific vehicle. Those dimensions control exactly when the reflected waves exit the chambers and feed back into the main exhaust flow. When the timing is right, the returning wave runs 180 degrees out of phase with the unwanted frequencies, canceling them out before they reach the cabin.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
