AWE Tuning Non-Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust w/ Quad Diamond Black Tips for G2x BMW M340i & M440i

The AWE Tuning Non-Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust for the G2x BMW M340i and M440i is handcrafted from 3″ CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065″ wall T304L stainless steel and delivers 65% more flow than stock, making it ready to support big power builds down the road. AWE’s patented 180 Technology keeps drone out of the cabin while preserving the full B58 tone, and the non-resonated configuration adds a bit more presence compared to the resonated version for drivers who want that extra edge. A mid-pipe inlet adapter is included for compatibility with both stock and aftermarket downpipes with 80mm outlets, the system bolts on directly with no cutting required, and it finishes with quad 102mm double-walled slash-cut tips in diamond black. On stock software, expect max gains of 16 hp and 12 ft-lb of torque at the wheels.

Touring Edition Exhaust

• The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust is a dual 3″ T304L stainless steel, downpipe-back system built to deliver straight-pipe performance without making the car unlivable day to day. A stamped stainless steel merge section up front flows the equivalent of dual 3″ off the downpipe, pushing a 65% increase in flow over stock and leaving the setup ready for aftermarket downpipes down the road. From there, the exhaust splits into true dual 3″ piping and finishes with AWE’s patented 180 Technology, keeping drone out of the cabin while holding onto the full-bodied, turbocharged B58 tone throughout.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE acoustic engineers determine the size and placement of each port and chamber based on the sound targets for that specific vehicle. Sound waves travel with the exhaust gases, bounce off the reflection chamber walls, and return to the main flow at a point controlled entirely by those dimensions. That timing is the key; when it lands right, the returning wave runs 180 degrees out of phase with the problem frequencies and cancels them out before they ever leave the system.
