WHAT IT DOES

• By using the AWE SwitchPath Remote and its complementary control unit, it is possible to manually open or close the exhaust valves, regardless of whether the AWE SwitchPath Exhaust or the factory-installed exhaust is being utilized.

HOW TO OPERATE

• Once the AWE SwitchPath Controller is installed, the exhaust valves can be opened by pushing the “On” button situated to the left of the SwitchPath Remote. When wishing to close the exhaust valves, all that is required is to press the “Off” button that is on the right of the remote.
• It should be noted that the AWE SwitchPath Remote will override the factory-installed valve control, so the opening and closing of the exhaust must be done using the remote.

Exhaust Tips

• The Base SwitchPath and Track Edition includes two 102mm double-wall, slash-cut exhaust tips, which the customer may choose in either chrome silver or diamond black, both featuring an etched AWE insignia.

Conversion Kits

• If you want to switch between SwitchPath and Track Edition after making a choice, AWE makes it a breeze to make the alteration. It’s effortless!

Valve Simulators: Why do you need them?

• AWE’s SwitchPath™ Technology is included in every S3 to ensure optimum sound quality. However, in the Track Edition systems the valves are removed and replaced with a “soft code” saved in the engines ECU. The Electronic Valve Simulators from AWE give you the ability to override the code, ensuring only the highest quality sound.
• Just plug these straightforward components into the factory wiring, instead of the exhaust valves, to keep the ECU free of any codes. All you have to do is plug them in, turn the engine on, and go. It’s that easy.
• Sold separately, comes as a set of two.

Fitment Guarantee

• In 1991, AWE was established as an installer of aftermarket parts. Having experienced the trouble of an upgrade not fitting, they implemented the AWE Fitment Guarantee which ensures the proper fitting of all AWE brand products with ease of installation by a skilled installer.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts.
