Dry carbon, known for being the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products, is manufactured using a “pre-preg” or impregnated piece of carbon materials, which is placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure properly. This method produces the least amount of waste and results in a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave process ensures fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon.
