Aragosta’s Type-E dampers are engineered to balance spirited street performance with comfortable cruising, drawing key technology from the Type-S and Type-SS coilover lineup. Features include low-friction, WPC-treated inverted struts, height-adjustable rana springs, specially formulated synthetic damper fluid, and Aragosta’s low-friction seals, along with vehicle-dependent 12-step rebound adjustment knobs at the base of each damper. They also come with pillowball upper mounts, with optional camber-adjustable mounts available for select applications.

• The Aragosta Type S Coilover Suspension system features an ultra-lightweight, high-pressure forged aluminum cylinder treated with next-generation film treatment and Kashima coating. The unique impregnation of molybdenum ensures remarkable lubricity within the cylinder itself. This results in substantial friction reduction and unmatched durability, surpassing conventional hard alumite coatings. As a result, the coilover system delivers exceptional basic performance, showcasing high-level linearity, smoothness, and outstanding traction ability.

High-Precision Machining with the Highest Priority on Performance

• Aragosta places great emphasis on the precision of cylinder processing, achieving surface roughness levels of 0.2 microns and 2/10000 mm for both aluminum and steel cylinders. Additionally, they employ an advanced honing treatment to enhance the surface accuracy and roundness inside the cylinder, aligning precisely with the specified values. This level of precision in processing all their cylinders is exceptionally rare among damper manufacturers.

Superior Finishing Technology

• The steel cylinder and outer case undergo a premium cationic electrodeposition coating, widely acknowledged for its superior rust prevention, impact resistance, and durability. This coating process ensures reliable electrodeposition to every corner of the thread, providing maximum coverage and significantly extending the lifespan of the components.

• As a standard feature, all Aragosta coilovers come equipped with rana springs, which exemplify the concept of a series-wound spring. Alongside their high quality and exceptional durability, these springs’ linear characteristics play a key role in maximizing the overall damper performance.

• The inverted cartridge cylinder is treated with precision shot peening (WPC processing), considered the finest technology for enhancing metal surfaces. In cartridge cylinders with high sway resistance, this process effectively reduces the wear coefficient and significantly improves oil film retention in the sway area. This manufacturing approach exemplifies a strong emphasis on performance, investing time and resources in parts that may not be immediately visible, yet play a crucial role in delivering exceptional results.
