The Aragosta Type–E series of shock absorbers is designed to deliver a smooth ride while supporting spirited street driving. It includes several of the same high–tech features as the Type–S and Type–SS high-performance coilovers, such as low-friction WPC-treated inverted struts, height-adjustable rana springs, and specially formulated synthetic damper fluid and Aragosta’s low-friction seals. Furthermore, the Type–E comes with 12–step rebound adjustment knobs on the bottom of the damper (not available on all models) and pillowball upper mounts (camber adjustable mounts available on certain models).

The Ultimate in Smooth Performance

• This ultra–lightweight cylinder is made from high–pressure–forged aluminum and features a next–generation film treatment and Kashima coating. The incorporation of molybdenum creates outstanding lubricity for the cylinder. Compared to conventional hard alumite, this cylinder has considerably reduced friction and improved durability, resulting in exceptional linearity, smoothness, and traction.

High-Precision Machining with the Highest Priority on Performance

• Aragosta takes extreme care when machining cylinders from aluminum and steel, achieving a surface roughness of 0.2 microns and 2/10000 mm. Additionally, honing is done to ensure the specified accuracy and roundness of the inside of the cylinder. The level of precision that Aragosta applies to all of their cylinders is rarely seen in the damper manufacturing industry.

Superior Finishing Technology

• The steel cylinder has a cationic electrodeposition coating applied, which is thought to be optimal for preventing corrosion and providing excellent impact protection. It completely encapsulates the threaded corners of the outer case ensuring maximum coverage so that it can last as long as possible.

Equipped with High-Performance Spring as Standard

• All Aragostas come with rana springs as a base feature. These series–wound springs ensure top quality and durability while also optimizing the dampening performance through linear characteristics.

Sharpened Internal Structure

• Aragosta‘s extraordinary performance is enabled by its damper pistons and needles, which allow for a range in damping characteristics – from comfort to sports mode – at very low speeds. Additionally the external adjustment mechanism gives you 20 distinct settings that can be felt distinctly via sensuous clicks as well as handling any setting needs efficiently.

High Hardness, High Efficiency WPC Processing

• Shot peening WPC processing is the cutting–edge technology for shaping metal surfaces, and its utilization in inverted cartridge cylinders increases the strength of the sway part through reducing abrasion coefficients. Furthermore, oil film retention on this area is much more efficient than before it‘s an example of a manufacturer carefully allocating resources to areas that have high performance values even if they are hidden from sight.

Aragosta 4 Cup Lift System

• The Cup System, with a quick toggle of a switch from the driver‘s seat, can raise very low vehicles to avoid interference between car body and road surface. This revolutionary system eliminates speed bumps, entrances and exits of parking lots as an issue to worry about.
