Is this APR wing for Factory Five GTM a direct fit?

Yes. APR builds this GTC-300 as a vehicle-specific wing for the Factory Five GTM, with carbon fiber bottom plates made for the car rather than the aluminum plates used on the universal version. The mounting bases sit 27.5 inches apart center to center, which is worth measuring on any GTM with modified rear bodywork before ordering.

Should a GTM owner choose the GTC-300 or the GTC-500?

The GTC-300 is the mid-size choice, a 67 inch span that suits fast road driving and track days without the drag of a larger wing. APR also makes a 71 inch GTC-500 wing for Factory Five GTM cars, with more chord, which suits a GTM that spends most of its time on circuits.

How long does APR take to build the GTC-300 wing?

APR builds this wing to order and quotes a normal lead time of one to two weeks. Bulletproof Automotive confirms the current build time with APR once the order is placed, because demand can extend it, and sends tracking as soon as the wing leaves Chino, California.

How far can the angle of attack be adjusted?

The GTC-300 adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees on its billet aluminum risers. More angle adds rear downforce for braking and cornering, and less angle reduces drag for top speed, so a GTM can run a steeper setting on a tight circuit and a flatter one on a fast track or the road.

What does the paint protection film option add?

Selecting Yes adds paint protection film that APR applies to the wing before shipping. It protects the clear-coated carbon on the wing from stone chips and light abrasion. Without it, the carbon still carries a UV-resistant clear coat, and gentle non-acidic soap with no paste wax keeps that finish in good condition.

Description

APR Performance Carbon GTC-300 67″ Adjustable Wing for Factory Five GTM Supercar

APR Performance’s Carbon GTC-300 67″ Adjustable Wing for Factory Five GTM Supercar builds gives a mid-engined kit car the kind of rear aero its chassis was always capable of using. APR mounts it through carbon fiber bottom plates made for the GTM, sets the bases 27.5 inches apart, and shapes the airfoil in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for an 8.8 to 1 downforce-to-drag ratio. At 67 inches the GTC-300 sits in the middle of APR’s range: enough rear load for braking and fast corners, without the drag of the larger GTC-500. It is built to order in Chino, California, for owners who drive their GTM hard rather than simply park it well.

Design and Performance

The cambered profile builds a pressure difference across the airfoil while keeping the flow attached at speed, and the angle of attack adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees. A steeper setting adds rear grip for a tight circuit; a flatter one trims drag for a fast track or the road. The wing stands on angle-adjustable risers machined from 10mm 6061 billet aluminum.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
