• The dual element design enables minimal air separation at high angles of attack while reducing drag at low angles of attack.
• The Angle-of-Attack (AOA) adjustment range on the secondary airfoil spans from 10 to 52 degrees (relative to the ground plane), ensuring a wide range of tuning options. Furthermore, the wing is engineered to prevent stalling even at the maximum angle of 52 degrees.
• The GT Series airfoils are constructed using pre-preg carbon fiber composite materials, striking an optimal balance between strength and weight. These materials are renowned for their exceptional durability and lightweight properties.
• It is essential to mount the APR Performance GT-1000 Adjustable Wing assembly to the chassis, as mounting it on a vehicle trunk lid can lead to deformation and damage, even on factory OEM steel trunk lids. This can create hazardous conditions. Please note that pedestals are not provided for the GT-1000. Customers will need to fabricate their own chassis-mount pedestals to suit their specific applications.
• While the upper brackets feature multiple mounting holes, it is important to note that the main airfoil is designed to be installed and secured in a single position. During proper installation, the side plates, also known as “end plates,” should be set precisely at 0 degrees Angle-of-Attack (AOA) relative to the ground plane. As a result, the main airfoil remains fixed at a slight forward pitch of approximately 5 degrees AOA relative to the ground plane.
