Which cars does this GTC-500 wing for CT9A Mitsubishi fit?

This GTC-500 wing for CT9A Mitsubishi fits the CT9A Lancer Evolution VIII (2003-2005) and Evolution IX (2005-2007), as listed on the page. Confirm your model and model year with us before ordering.

Does it fit the Evolution VII, the Evolution IX Wagon or the Evolution X?

The page lists the Evolution VIII and IX with the CT9A code only. The Evolution VII shares the CT9A code but is not listed, the CT9W Evolution IX Wagon is not named, and the Evolution X is a different car. Confirm with us before ordering if your car is one of those.

Is it only for widebody cars?

The page calls the wing an ideal choice for widebody sports cars and touring vehicles because of its 71-inch span. It does not say whether it suits a stock-width Evo, so contact us with your car's body before ordering.

How does it mount, and does the trunk need to be cut?

The page gives no mounting details. The 61-inch CT9A listing says its wing is a chassis mount wing that needs the factory trunk slotted, but this page does not say whether the 71-inch wing does. Contact us for the installation details before ordering.

What is the wing made from, and does it have Gurney flaps?

Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) airfoils with pre-soaked carbon fibers, made with pre-impregnated composite production, a high-temperature autoclave, vacuum bagging and aluminum billet molds, on 10mm 6061 billet aluminum pedestals with a flat black powder coating. The span is 71 inches. The page does not mention Gurney flaps or an angle-adjustment range, so contact us if you need those details.

What is the PPF film option, and how long does delivery take?

PPF film is an optional extra for an additional $200, chosen at checkout. The wing is made to order or special order from the manufacturer, so we confirm the estimated lead time after you order. Talk to us first if you have a specific deadline.

Technical Features

Featuring an aerodynamic 3D airfoil shape, the GTC Series wings strive to strike an optimal balance between downforce and drag. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses have confirmed the effectiveness of this design in maximizing downforce while reducing resistance.
The GTC Series airfoils are renowned for their remarkable strength and lightweight structure, which are achieved by crafting them from carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite materials. These airfoils are woven with pre-soaked carbon fibers, providing an unparalleled combination of durability and lightness. To produce these airfoils, pre-impregnated composite production techniques are utilized along with a high-temperature autoclave, vacuum bagging, and top-quality aluminum billet molds.
- The stability and strength of the GTC Series airfoils are improved by the addition of 10mm 6061 billet aluminum pedestals coated in flat black powder. These aircraft-grade supports, composed of lightweight yet sturdy carbon fiber composites, guarantee the firm attachment of your carbon fiber airfoil.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
