Is this 61 inch wing for universal fit really universal?

Yes. This 61 inch wing for universal fit is a universal part, not listed for any single vehicle. It is a chassis mount wing, and the page gives no mounting distance or hardware details, so contact us with your vehicle before ordering.

Does the trunk need to be cut?

Yes. The page says this is a chassis mount wing and that the factory trunk has to be slotted to install it properly. A professional installation is recommended, so contact us if you want to go through the fitment before ordering.

What mounting spacing does it use?

The page does not give a mounting spacing or describe the mounting method beyond the 10mm 6061 aircraft-grade billet aluminum pedestals. Contact us with your vehicle and the spacing you need before ordering.

Does it come with Gurney flaps, and can the angle be adjusted?

The page does not mention Gurney flaps or an angle-adjustment range for this wing, although it is sold as an adjustable wing. Contact us if you need those details before ordering.

What is the wing made from, and how big is it?

Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) airfoils made with high-temperature autoclaving and vacuum bagging in aluminum molds, on 10mm 6061 aircraft-grade billet aluminum pedestals with a matte black powder coating. The airfoil is approximately 61 inches wide, with a three-dimensional shape that balances downforce and drag.

What is the PPF film option, and how long does delivery take?

PPF film is an optional extra for an additional $200, chosen at checkout, to protect the carbon fiber from abrasion and the elements. The wing is made to order or special order from the manufacturer, so we confirm the estimated lead time after you order. Talk to us first if you have a specific deadline.

Technical Features

The GTC Series aerofoil has been meticulously fashioned with intense attention to detail, comprising an intricate, three-dimensional configuration to guarantee a faultless equilibrium between downforce and drag, verified by an abundance of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experiments. This aerodynamic arrangement assures utmost downforce while keeping vortices to an absolute minimum.
The GTC series of airfoils has achieved a well-deserved status in the industry due to its pioneering durability and exceptionally sophisticated engineering of lighter components utilizing carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. Exceptionally skilled technicians have leveraged advanced integration techniques, involving high-temperature autoclaving and vacuum bagging, to craft superior aluminum ingot molds.
- The GTC Series airfoils are constructed from carbon fiber composites, lauded for their sturdiness and agility, supplemented by 10mm 6061 aircraft-grade billet aluminum pedestals adorned with a visually attractive matte black powder coating.
The incorporation of Polymer Shielding Covering can guarantee the resilience of your brand new wing. It can safeguard the wing from frequent abrasion and tear, rapid velocity when driving on a freeway, and any noxious meteorological elements and particles, thus giving your car a comprehensive coating of protection.
The judicious application of protective paint film to the precious carbon fiber wing will prove profoundly beneficial in guaranteeing its safeguarding against any harm and maintaining its pristine aesthetic appeal over its entire operational lifetime.

Notes

This is a chassis mount wing, and you will need to slot the factory trunk in order to properly install this wing

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
