More Power

OEM manufacturers often prioritize reducing turbo noise over airflow, which limits horsepower potential. The AMS Performance Infiniti Q50 / Q60 80mm Air Intakes take the opposite approach by allowing the turbos to draw in all the air they need for maximum performance. The organically shaped inlet tubes are engineered for precise fitment and reduced pre-turbo restriction, with gradual bend radii and smooth size transitions that deliver uninterrupted airflow to the compressor inlets. To validate this design, our AMS Snailworks Engineers conducted extensive back-to-back dyno testing against the factory intake system. In fully open configuration, without stock-sized MAF insert sleeves, the 80mm system produced an incredible +30 WHP maximum gain over stock, with an average of +24 WHP gained above 5000 RPM, and torque increases throughout the entire RPM range. The result is not only more top-end power but also improved drivability and stronger low-end response. Unlike competitors who cherry pick selective peak numbers, our results are averaged across multiple dyno runs to provide accurate, repeatable, and trustworthy data. AMS Performance’s Snailworks Engineering Team validated the Infiniti Q50 / Q60 80mm Air Intakes on a state-of-the-art MAF-based flowbench, instrumented with a MoTeC dash and datalogger to mirror real-world demand. Under identical conditions, the OEM intake showed roughly 1.9 psi of depression at about 560 WHP of airflow, while a leading competitor’s design offered only a modest improvement before hitting its own restriction. By contrast, the AMS 80mm system supported that same 560 WHP at just 1.0 psi of depression—nearly a full psi less than stock—and at equivalent pressure drops it flowed significantly higher than both OEM and competitor setups. Data confirms it as the largest and highest-flowing intake solution on the VR30 platform for maximum airflow and horsepower.

Tuner-Friendly by Design

AMS Performance recognizes that building the largest, highest-flowing intake is only half the equation; seamless ECU integration is the other. To that end, its Calibration Team developed a dedicated ECU calibration guide for the 80mm Q50 / Q60 Air Intakes. Where competitor systems with oversized MAF housings can introduce inconsistent sensor placement, poor orientation, and idle issues, the AMS solution is engineered for precision: support brackets lock the MAF housings and filters in place, and keyed MAF flanges with keyed silicone turbo inlet hoses ensure consistent alignment, reducing installation guesswork and calibration time. The guide includes AMS-developed MAF calibration strategies, the Throttle Airflow (TAF) relearn procedure, and radiator fan speed curves—each validated through extensive dyno and real-world testing. Filter performance is easily restored with a quick inside-out blast of 30-40 psi compressed air, no frequent washing needed. For heavy buildup, use a biodegradable cleaner, soak or spray, let it loosen debris, rinse thoroughly, then shake or blow out from the inside and air-dry 24-48 hours.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
