AlphaRex Nova-Series Projector LED Black Headlights for AP1 / AP2 Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 remains a timeless icon in the world of JDM sports cars and a standout example of Honda engineering. Across the celebrated AP1 and AP2 variants, this classic is complemented by AlphaRex Honda S2000 headlights designed to elevate the vehicle’s front-end aesthetics. In developing these S2000 headlights, two distinct design directions were pursued: a bold, modern approach for the NOVA-Series and a subtle, original-inspired look for the LUXX-Series. The NOVA-Series introduces AlphaRex’s signature 3D ice-cube quad-projector layout, paired with a slim LED tube along the bottom that offers selectable white or amber DRL and an amber sequential turn signal. This LED tube also incorporates the activation light feature, delivering a captivating startup sequence at ignition that transforms the S2000’s front profile with innovation and style.

Light Features

• With the quad-projector configuration, all four projectors illuminate as low beams, while the inner two projectors transition into a dual-beam output for high beam functionality. Powered by Osram Oslon Black Chip LEDs for low beam output and AlphaRex LUXX LEDs for dual beam output, these headlights reflect AlphaRex’s patented design focus on performance and reliability. A precise projection cut-off line is engineered to meet American LHD regulations, supporting DOT / SAE compliance with clean, controlled output. As the top series in the lineup, the NOVA-Series includes essential features such as activation light, sequential turn signal, and selectable white or amber DRL.

Breathing Vents

• Condensation prevention is a common challenge for both OEM and aftermarket headlights, as moisture can accumulate inside housings due to temperature fluctuations even with strong seals. To help address this, Nitto Denko TEMISH® CAPSEAL™ air vents are used to promote efficient moisture discharge in the Honda S2000 headlights. These vents improve airflow within the headlight housing so moisture can escape more easily, functioning like a breathing action and earning the “Air Breathers” name.

Housing

• The headlight housing is made from high-quality polypropylene (PP) to support durability and long service life. With strong resistance to heat and moisture, polypropylene helps maintain reliable performance across a wide range of driving conditions.

Lens

• The S2000 headlights use high-quality polycarbonate plastic lenses designed to withstand extreme weather while delivering excellent lighting performance. An anti-fog agent is applied to the lens to reduce fogging and improve visibility in changing conditions. A protective coating is also applied to help resist yellowing and oxidation, keeping the lenses clear and looking newer for longer.
