Titanium Slip-On Line Exhaust System
The design of this exhaust system aims to deliver exceptional performance, an exhilarating sound, and a pleasurable driving experience, without compromising on comfort. It is constructed using high-grade, lightweight titanium material, making the Slip-On Line (Titanium) over 47% lighter than the standard sport exhaust. The exhaust features two beautifully finished square titanium tailpipes with a black interior. These tailpipes are coated for enhanced durability and scratch resistance while effectively transmitting the sound produced by the lightweight system. The exhaust system is meticulously engineered to control the gas flow from the engine, resulting in a perfect sound experience. At lower revs, it emits a V8 throb that gradually transforms into a rich roar as the revs increase, creating an immensely satisfying auditory delight.
To enhance the overall sound quality, the system incorporates two tubes that connect the left and right sides, each with a different diameter. This design choice not only adds rigidity to the system but also contributes to an enhanced sound experience. The tubes are fully insulated to ensure that excess heat does not affect other components of the vehicle.
In performance testing conducted on the Akrapovič dyno, the exhaust system demonstrated exceptional results. It provided a power increase of 3.4 kW (4.6 hp) at 5,250 rpm and a torque gain of 8.2 Nm at 3,100 rpm compared to a Corvette Stingray equipped with the stock sport exhaust system. It is important to note that this system does not require any remapping and is intended for use exclusively on racetracks and closed courses. For further customization, optional link pipe sets are available to upgrade the Slip-On Line (Titanium) system.
Akrapovič is an acclaimed innovator of exhaust systems for motorcycles and performance cars. The company is renowned worldwide for their utilization of cutting-edge technology and superior materials in the production and engineering of exhaust systems.
