Active Autowerke Chassis Brace for G87 BMW M2

Active Autowerke’s Chassis Brace for G87 BMW M2 swaps out the factory brace beneath the car for a 6061 aluminum plate cut to give a bigger exhaust somewhere to go. Rather than carry its M3 and M4 brace across, Active Autowerke drew a separate G87 part with its own slot and hole pattern under its own part number. It ships inside the box with the company’s G87 mid-pipes. Buy it on its own if your M2 carries a large-bore system from another maker, or if you want a second brace on the shelf for a car that will see more than one exhaust in its life.

Design and Performance

Active Autowerke shaped the G87 plate with elongated slots and a large central opening, visible in its product photo, so that oversized pipework has clearance where the factory brace would otherwise sit in the way. The company states that the extra room comes without any loss of rigidity against the BMW original, and the brace takes the factory mounting position.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
