TEIN EDFC Strut Kit
A stopper bracket that keeps EDFC motor wiring from tangling and breaking as strut front suspension turns with the steering.
TEIN’s EDFC Strut Kit is built around a stopper bracket for EDFC installations on cars with strut front suspension. A strut rotates as the wheels are steered, carrying the EDFC motor and its wiring with it, and TEIN warns that without the bracket the wires become tangled and may break. TEIN USA adds that it stops the wiring catching on the motors when ride height is adjusted. It is an add-on to an EDFC setup and does nothing by itself.
TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.
