TEIN EDFC Motor Kit M12 / M12
Adds in-cabin damping control to TEIN shocks that take M12 motors at both axles, once paired with an EDFC5 or EDFC ACTIVE PRO controller.
TEIN’s EDFC Motor Kit M12 / M12 fits stepping motors to TEIN dampers that take M12 motors at both the front and rear, so damping is set from the driver seat instead of by hand at each shock. Each motor takes the place of the hand adjuster knob. The motors are half of an EDFC system: without an EDFC5 or EDFC ACTIVE PRO controller, sold separately, they do nothing. On non-TEIN shocks or fixed-damping TEIN models, the kit has no use.
TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.
