Are springs included with this kit?

Yes. The kit is a complete set of four shock absorbers and four springs, so nothing else is needed to set the car up on TEIN suspension. Ask BA for the spring rates before ordering if you want to compare them with another setup.

How much lower will the GT-R sit?

TEIN gives a typical drop of about 0.6 inches at the front and 0.8 inches at the rear for the US GT-R. Full-length adjustment lets the height be changed from there without altering stroke or spring preload, so the ride stays close to how TEIN tuned it.

Do the Mono Sport Coilovers for R35 improve the ride?

Yes, that is the main aim. TEIN tuned the Mono Sport Coilovers for R35 to reduce low and mid speed bumpiness and the rear tyre dropping sensation over gaps, and to stop the rear bouncing the factory car shows in Comfort mode, while sharpening front grip.

Can the damping be adjusted from inside the car?

Yes, with an optional TEIN EDFC controller. As supplied, each damper has a 16-level knob that changes compression and rebound together. EDFC doubles that to 32 levels with in-cabin control, and EDFC ACTIVE or ACTIVE PRO raise it to 64 with automatic adjustment.

Should I choose Mono Sport or Mono Racing for my GT-R?

Mono Sport suits a GT-R that spends most of its time on the road with some winding road or track use. Mono Racing is built for frequent circuit driving with settings drawn from Super Racing, and Super Racing itself is a springless damper set for dedicated track cars.

Description

TEIN Mono Sport Coilovers for R35 Nissan GT-R

TEIN’s Mono Sport Coilovers for R35 Nissan GT-R target two habits of the factory car: the sense of the rear tyre dropping into gaps, and a busy ride at low and middle speeds. TEIN answered with mono-tube dampers and a modest typical drop of 0.6 inches front and 0.8 rear. This is the GT-R kit for owners who mostly drive on the road and visit the odd track day; dedicated circuit cars belong on TEIN’s Mono Racing or Super Racing.

On the Road and Track

TEIN’s setting notes cover the car in R, Normal and Comfort modes: low and mid speed bumpiness drops in each, and the rear bouncing that Comfort mode shows over gaps is cured. In corners, front grip and steering response improve, and the rear becomes easier to read on winding roads and circuits, which gives the driver a clearer picture of what the tail is doing.

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
