TEIN recommends 1.0 to 1.8 inches below stock at the front and 0.8 to 1.6 inches at the rear. The full range covers 3.7 inches lower to 0.2 inches higher at the front and 0.3 to 3.1 inches lower at the rear. Ask BA for GS F figures.

Is any modification needed to install the kit?

TEIN’s Mono Sport Coilovers for USC10 Lexus RC F and URL10 GS F keep the mild ride of the factory V8 coupe and sedan while trimming body roll, aiming for what TEIN describes as a European-car feel. Both springs and dampers are new, and the full-length bodies let the RC F sit anywhere from slightly above stock to well below it. Owners chasing lap times every weekend will want a dedicated circuit kit instead.

Ride and Construction

TEIN tuned the damping so the car stays controlled without giving up comfort. Each mono-tube damper uses a high-strength STKM13C steel shell with ZTP coating, and height is set by case length, so stroke and spring preload stay unchanged when the car comes down. A 16-level adjuster changes compression and rebound together through ADVANCE M.S.V. valving.

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
