Will the EnduraPro Basic Front Shocks fit my Tesla?

Yes, if it is a dual-motor car. They fit the all-wheel-drive Long Range and Performance Model 3 from 2017 and Model Y from 2020 to 2025. Cars with factory electronic damping adjustment are excluded, so ask BA to confirm the EnduraPro Basic Front Shocks suit yours.

Do these shocks lower the car?

No. With the factory springs the ride height stays where Tesla set it, because the lower spring seat matches the original part. TEIN does allow these shocks to be used with mild lowering springs for owners who want a small drop.

Should I replace all four shocks at once?

Yes, the first time. TEIN recommends replacing all four dampers together and advises against mixing EnduraPro Basic with factory or other-brand shocks. This pair covers the front axle, and the matching rear pair is sold separately as its own listing.

Can the damping be adjusted?

No. EnduraPro Basic uses fixed damping that TEIN set for comfort in everyday city driving. Owners who want adjustment can look at EnduraPro Plus, which has a 16-level dial, or at a Flex Z coilover kit for the same cars.

Do I reuse the factory springs and mounts?

Yes. The lower spring seat is shaped like the original, so the factory springs and upper mounts carry straight over. Each shock body is sealed by crimping after filling, and its shell is larger in diameter than the original to hold more oil.

Description

TEIN EnduraPro Basic Front Shocks for AWD Tesla Model 3 and Model Y

TEIN’s EnduraPro Basic Front Shocks for the dual-motor Tesla Model 3 and Model Y replace worn factory front dampers as a left and right pair. They keep the original ride height and reuse the factory springs and upper mounts, with fixed damping set for comfort in everyday city driving. An owner after a lower stance or adjustable damping should look at a coilover instead; this pair suits a car that should keep its stock height and feel.

Construction

TEIN builds the shell case to about 150 percent of OE tensile strength, 510 MPa against 340 MPa in its own example, and enlarges its diameter so it holds more oil. After filling, the body is sealed by crimping. A solvent-free black powder coat, applied with TEIN’s patented 2-layer, 1-bake process, protects the finish.

Features

Front left and right shocks supplied together as a pair
No change to ride height on the factory springs
OE-shape lower spring seat carries over the original spring and upper mount
Fixed damping, tuned for comfort in daily city use
Twin-tube construction behind the OE-shape exterior

Applications

Tesla Model 3 (AWD Long Range, Performance): 2017-present | dual motor
Tesla Model Y (AWD Long Range, Performance): 2020-2025 | dual motor

Notes

Not compatible with cars that have factory electronic damping adjustment
The TEIN EnduraPro Basic Front Shocks cover the front axle only; the TEIN EnduraPro Basic Rear Shocks for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y complete the set
TEIN advises against mixing these with OE or other-brand dampers

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
