Will the G25 Wastegate Turbine Housing bolt to my T25 manifold?

Yes, if the manifold has a T25 turbine flange. The G25 Wastegate Turbine Housing in 0.49 A/R is the one G25 housing Garrett builds with a T25 inlet, and its outlet is a V-band, so the downpipe needs a matching V-band flange. Check the Garrett flange diagram against your manifold before ordering.

Who should choose the 0.49 A/R?

Owners of smaller engines, or builds that value response over peak power. A 0.49 A/R drives the turbine hard at low exhaust flow, so boost comes in early, but it becomes a restriction as flow climbs. Garrett rates G25 cores from 300 to 700 horsepower, and this housing favors the lower half of that window.

Does this housing fit a G-Series II core?

Yes. Garrett lists it for the G-Series II G25-585 and G25-700 super cores as well as the first-generation G25-550 and G25-660, because G-Series II carried over the first-generation turbine housings. A Gen I owner can buy a G-Series II CHRA later and keep this housing on the manifold.

Is there a reverse rotation version of this housing?

No. Garrett offers the 0.49 A/R T25 internal wastegate housing for standard-rotation G25 cores only. Reverse rotation G25 internal wastegate housings exist in 0.72 and 0.92 A/R, both with V-band inlets, so a mirrored twin-turbo setup with a T25 manifold flange would need a different solution.

Do I need a tune after changing to this housing?

Plan on one. Moving to a smaller A/R changes how quickly boost builds and how hard the wastegate has to work, so fueling, ignition and boost control all need checking. Garrett notes that performance results depend heavily on the vehicle modifications and the calibration behind them.

Description

Garrett G25 Wastegate Turbine Housing, 0.49 A/R T25 Inlet

Garrett’s G25 Wastegate Turbine Housing with a 0.49 A/R and a T25 inlet is the response-first exhaust housing of the G25 family, an internally gated stainless casting that bolts to a T25 manifold flange and leaves through a V-band outlet. Garrett lists part 740902-0080 for the standard-rotation G25-550, G25-660, G25-585 and G25-700 cores, and builds its 0.49 A/R assembled G25 turbochargers on the same layout. It suits smaller engines, roughly 1.4L to 2.0L, where boost needs to arrive early. For a build targeting the top of a G25-700 rating it will restrict flow, and a 0.72 or 0.92 A/R is the better choice.

T25 Flange and Small A/R

The T25 inlet is the only non V-band inlet Garrett offers on a G25 housing, which lets the turbocharger sit on manifolds built for that flange rather than a V-band. The small 0.49 A/R speeds exhaust onto the 54mm turbine wheel for the quickest spool in the range, with Garrett’s maximum-size internal wastegate port keeping boost creep in check.

Features

T25 turbine inlet flange with a V-band outlet

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
