Will the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with a 15mm lower O-ring fit my LS2?

Yes, where the engine is an LS2. Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with a 14mm top and 15mm lower O-ring for the Chevrolet LS2, the LS2 Holden Commodore VZ and Monaro, and the 2005 to 2006 Pontiac GTO. LS1 and LS6 engines use the 60mm set with a 14mm lower O-ring.

Why does the LS2 set use a 15mm lower O-ring?

The LS2 intake takes a 15mm lower seal, so Injector Dynamics fits the orange 15mm O-ring to the injectors in this set. A 14mm O-ring would not seal correctly in that bore, which is why the lower seal is part of the part number and should be matched to the engine.

Should an LS2 build use the 2600 or the ID1750-XDS?

Choose by fuel demand. The ID1750-XDS flows 1728cc per minute and is rated to 7 bar, while the ID2600-XDS flows 2600cc per minute nominal and is rated to 9 bar. An LS2 only needs the 2600 once its boost and fuel choice have outrun the 1750.

Does an LS2 need a custom calibration for these?

Yes. The LS2 engine management calculates every pulse from injector data, and the 2600 needs its Injector Dynamics characterization data entered, including the non-linear short pulse range. Without it, idle and cruise fueling on the LS2 will not be accurate, whatever the fuel.

How long does the warranty last on the LS2 set?

One year from purchase against manufacturer defects, from Injector Dynamics. The cover depends on the correct fuel and proper filtration. Because the eight injectors are flow matched, a failed one is replaced through Injector Dynamics so the LS2 keeps even fueling across both banks.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 15mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of eight use a grey 14mm top adapter and an orange 15mm lower O-ring, the combination Injector Dynamics lists for the LS2. That covers the Chevrolet LS2, the Holden Commodore VZ and Monaro with the LS2, and the 2005-2006 Pontiac GTO. At 2600cc/min nominal each, the set belongs on an LS2 making heavy boost on methanol or E85. A cammed, naturally aspirated LS2 on gasoline does not need this much injector, and an ID1300-XDS or ID1750-XDS will idle and calibrate more easily.

Configuration

The 15 in the part number is the orange 15mm lower O-ring the LS2 manifold takes, which separates this set from the 14mm lower O-ring versions.

Features

Built to Injector Dynamics specification with Bosch Motorsport, the top-flowing injector in the Bosch range
Internals resist corrosion from long-term exposure to methanol and ethanol
Flows roughly half again as much as the ID1700x
Matched in both the linear and short pulse ranges using Dual Slope Matching

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 15mm O-ring (orange)

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 15mm lower O-rings fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Chevrolet: LS2
Holden: Commodore VZ and Monaro | LS2
Pontiac GTO: 2005-2006 | LS2

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR plug; engines wired for Denso, EV1, OBD2 Honda or 2012+ Honda connectors need an Injector Dynamics adapter, and the Denso one is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Orange 15mm lower O-rings are fitted to suit the LS2 manifold bore
A tuner must load the Injector Dynamics characterization data and recalibrate the ECU after installation
Injector Dynamics specifies a minimum supply of 11 volts for the ID2600-XDS

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
