Do the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set fit an LS2?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this exact configuration, with a 14mm top and a 15mm lower O-ring, for the LS2 in the Chevrolet, Holden Commodore VZ, Holden Monaro and 2005 to 2006 Pontiac GTO. Other LS engines use different lengths or seals, so check the part number against your engine.

Why does the lower O-ring size matter?

The lower O-ring seals the injector tip in the intake manifold, and a 14mm seal in a bore made for 15mm will not seal properly. This set ships with the orange 15mm lower O-ring Injector Dynamics specifies for the LS2, which is why the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are sold in several seal options.

Does an LS2 need a new tune for these injectors?

Yes. An LS2 calibration built around the factory injectors will deliver far too much fuel through eight 1065cc per minute units. Your tuner loads the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data for the ID1050-XDS into the PCM so idle, part throttle and boost fueling all come out right.

Which connector do I need on my LS2 wiring?

USCAR, the connector these injectors carry. USCAR-wired engines connect directly with no extra parts. If your LS2 has EV1 or another plug style, add the matching Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters, which are sold separately. Check the plug on one existing injector first.

Is the eight-injector LS2 set covered by warranty?

Yes. Injector Dynamics covers the set for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided it runs the correct fuel through proper filtration. Because the eight injectors are flow matched, a single failed unit is replaced through Injector Dynamics, which also cleans, inspects and flow tests injectors in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 15mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of eight carry a grey 14mm top adapter and an orange 15mm lower O-ring, the combination Injector Dynamics specifies for the LS2 V8. Each one flows 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar on gasoline, enough for a supercharged or turbocharged LS2, or one converted to E85. Low-flow control carried over from the ID1000, so a cold start and a long highway cruise feel much as they did on factory injectors. A naturally aspirated LS2 on pump gas has no use for this much fuel; buy the set when boost or ethanol is in the plan.

Configuration

The orange 15mm lower O-ring is what separates this set from the 48mm sets with a 14mm lower seal. The 14mm grey top adapter comes fitted.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport and built to Injector Dynamics specification instead of being adapted from a production part
Corrosion-resistant internals rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Stronger magnetic circuit that keeps operation stable up to 10 bar differential pressure
Flow matched as a set of eight for V8 fuel rails

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 15mm O-ring (orange)

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 15mm lower O-rings fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Chevrolet: LS2
Holden Commodore: VZ | LS2
Holden Monaro: LS2
Pontiac GTO: 2005-2006 | LS2

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; Denso, EV1 or OBD2 engine wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
The 15mm lower O-ring differs from the 14mm lower seal used on most 48mm sets; confirm it against the injectors you are replacing
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
