Do I need a tune after installing these injectors?

Yes. The engine management calculates fuel delivery from injector flow, offset and short pulse data, and the ID1050-XDS differs from any factory injector on all three. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the 1050, and your tuner loads it into the calibration so fueling stays accurate from idle upward.

Will the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors run on E85?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors for all known fuels, with corrosion resistant internals meant for long service on ethanol and methanol. E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power, so size the pump and calibration for the fuel you will run.

Are these injectors plug and play?

Mechanically they fit rails and manifolds built for a 48mm injector with 14mm top and lower seals. Electrically they use USCAR connectors. Engines already wired with USCAR plugs need nothing more, while Denso, EV1 and OBD2 wiring needs Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters, sold separately.

Should I choose the ID1050-XDS or the ID1300-XDS?

Choose by fuel demand. The ID1050-XDS is rated at 1065cc per minute on gasoline and handles up to 10 bar differential pressure. The ID1300-XDS flows about 1335cc per minute, is rated to 7 bar and was designed around alternative fuels, so it suits larger ethanol builds.

What warranty comes with these injectors?

Injector Dynamics warrants its injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided they run the correct fuel with proper filtration. The set is flow matched, so a single replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics, which also offers a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are a set of eight 1065cc/min injectors developed with Bosch Motorsport, configured with a 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring for V8 fuel rails that take the 48mm body. Injector Dynamics built the 1050 to its own specification rather than reworking a production part, with corrosion-resistant internals and a magnetic circuit that stays stable to 10 bar. Low-flow control was kept, so idle and cruise stay clean on pump gasoline while the headroom waits for E85 or more boost. On a stock V8 this is more injector than the engine will use; it belongs on a supercharged, turbocharged or ethanol build with a tuner already booked.

Configuration

The same ID1050-XDS is sold in 34mm, 48mm and 60mm lengths, with 11mm or 14mm tops and several lower seals. This set pairs the 48mm body with a grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring, so match all three to your current injectors.

Features

Corrosion-resistant internals rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Stronger magnetic circuit for stable operation up to 10 bar differential pressure
About five percent more flow than the original ID1000, with low-flow control retained
Flow matched as a set of eight, with characterization data published for the calibration

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
