Are the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set the correct ones for an SRT-8 Challenger?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with a 14mm top and 14mm bottom adapter, set of eight, for the Challenger SRT-8, the 300C SRT-8 and the Magnum SRT-8. The connectors are USCAR, and the car will need a new calibration before it is driven.

Does a naturally aspirated SRT-8 need injectors this large?

No. At 2600cc per minute nominal each, eight of these injectors deliver far more fuel than an unboosted SRT-8 can burn, and the calibration only gets harder. This set is for a car with forced induction running E85 or methanol, where a smaller class would run short of flow.

Can I drive my SRT-8 on its old tune after fitting these?

No. The SRT-8 engine management holds data for the factory injectors, and eight 2600cc per minute injectors behave nothing like them. A tuner has to load the Injector Dynamics characterization data and rebuild the fuel calibration before the car is driven, ideally alongside the supercharger or turbo tune.

Can a boosted SRT-8 run flex fuel on these?

Yes. The ID2600-XDS is rated for gasoline, ethanol and methanol, with corrosion resistant internals for long term alcohol service. A flex fuel SRT-8 needs a calibration that covers the whole ethanol range it will see, and the fuel pump has to keep up with eight injectors of this size.

Can Injector Dynamics service these injectors later?

Yes. Injector Dynamics runs a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona, useful after a long season on alcohol fuel. The SRT-8 set also carries a one year warranty against manufacturer defects, conditional on correct fuel and filtration, and single replacements come through Injector Dynamics.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 8

For the SRT-8 300C, Challenger and Magnum, Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors arrive as a matched set of eight with grey 14mm top adapters and black 14mm bottom adapters. At 2600cc/min nominal per injector the set is sized for an SRT-8 that has gained a supercharger or turbochargers and moved to alcohol fuel. A naturally aspirated SRT-8, or a mild blower kit on pump gasoline, would leave most of that flow unused and is better matched to a smaller Injector Dynamics class.

Configuration

The 14B in the part number is the 14mm bottom adapter, fitted to each injector so the lower seal suits the SRT-8 manifold. The body is the 48mm length, and the top adapter is the grey 14mm type.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport for liquid fuels; the highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers
Corrosion-resistant internals for long-term ethanol and methanol service
About 50 percent more flow than the ID1700x
Dual Slope Matching across the linear and non-linear range for consistency at short pulse widths

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (black)

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Dodge and Chrysler: 300C SRT-8, Challenger SRT-8 and Magnum SRT-8

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; Denso, EV1 and OBD2 Honda wiring each need a plug-and-play adapter, sold separately, and for Denso plugs that is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Black 14mm bottom adapters come fitted, giving the injector a 14mm lower seal
The engine management must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before the engine is driven
Keep injector supply voltage at or above the 11 volt minimum Injector Dynamics specifies

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
