Will the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors fit my 370Z?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this set for the Nissan 370Z, the Infiniti G37 and the R35 GT-R. The 370Z only needs this much fuel with forced induction or ethanol; on a naturally aspirated car the extra flow goes unused, although it will idle well once calibrated.

Is this flow class enough for an R35 GT-R?

It depends on the target. The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors add a large margin over factory GT-R injectors on gasoline and suit moderate E85 builds. Big turbo GT-Rs on full ethanol often move to the ID1300-XDS or larger, so size the set against your fuel and power goal.

What tuning data does a GT-R or 370Z tuner need?

The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS, which describes flow, offset and short pulse behavior. Loading it into the GT-R, 370Z or G37 calibration lets the engine management meter fuel accurately at idle and at full boost instead of working from a single flow figure.

Will a 370Z or G37 still idle smoothly with these?

Yes, once calibrated with the Injector Dynamics data. The ID1050-XDS keeps the low-flow performance of the ID1000 despite its larger flow, so the short pulses at idle and light cruise stay controlled. A rough idle after the swap points to the calibration rather than the injectors.

Can Injector Dynamics service these later?

Yes. Injector Dynamics offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing in Arizona, and handles single replacements because the six are flow matched. During the first year after purchase, manufacturer defects fall under warranty, provided the injectors ran the correct fuel with proper filtration.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and GT-R Lower Spacer, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this six-piece set are the version listed for the R35 Nissan GT-R, the Nissan 370Z and the Infiniti G37, fitted with grey 14mm top adapters, 14mm lower O-rings and the GT-R lower spacer. On a GT-R, 1065cc/min per cylinder is the step for bigger turbochargers or a flex-fuel tune that the factory injectors cannot feed. On a 370Z or G37 the set makes sense once a turbo or supercharger kit goes on; a naturally aspirated VQ will not use it. Injector Dynamics fitted its injectors to the first seven-second GT-R.

Configuration

R35 in the part number marks the GT-R lower spacer, which sets the 48mm body at the height these engines need. The same six-injector configuration covers all three cars, so one part number serves a GT-R, 370Z or G37 owner.

Features

Revised internal flow path adds about five percent over the ID1000 without giving up low-flow control
Replaceable inlet filter for service life on less than perfect fuel
Compact body shared across more than 200 applications in its lengths and seal options
GT-R lower spacer fitted, ready for the factory rail and manifold

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring with GT-R lower spacer

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and GT-R lower spacers fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Infiniti G37
Nissan 370Z
Nissan GT-R: R35

Notes

Engines with USCAR injector plugs connect directly, while Denso, EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs adapters that are not in the box; for Denso, see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Install with the GT-R lower spacers in place; they set the injector height
Fitting these injectors requires a retune, with the Injector Dynamics characterization data loaded into the engine management

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
