Do the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors plug into a Skyline GT-R?

They fit the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R mechanically in the 11mm top version, but they use USCAR connectors. A car still on Denso injector plugs needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso adapters, sold separately. A 14mm top version is also listed for these cars.

Is this set a good match for a turbo 1JZ?

Yes, for a 1JZ VVT-i, which Injector Dynamics lists for this configuration. Six ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors supply enough fuel for a substantial power increase on gasoline, and a moderate one on E85. Very high power ethanol builds should look at the ID1300-XDS instead.

Will an RB26 or 1JZ need tuning after fitting these?

Yes. Six 1065cc per minute injectors deliver much more fuel per pulse than the factory Denso parts, so the ECU must be recalibrated. Give your tuner the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data for the ID1050-XDS so idle and boost fueling are both correct.

When should an RB26 or 1JZ owner choose the ID1750-XDS instead?

When the fuel demand exceeds what six ID1050-XDS injectors can supply, usually on high power ethanol builds. The ID1750-XDS flows about 1728cc per minute against 1065cc per minute, but its pressure rating is 7 bar against 10 bar for the 1050, so pick the smallest class that covers the target.

What warranty applies to the Denso cushion set?

Injector Dynamics gives one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as the injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration. The six are flow matched, so a single replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics, which also runs an Arizona cleaning, inspection and flow test service.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with blue 11mm tops and Denso lower cushions cover a group of Japanese sixes, from the RB26 in the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R to the Toyota 7M-GTE and 1JZ VVT-i, and the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Most owners reach for this set when a turbo upgrade or E85 outruns the original injectors. At 1065cc/min per cylinder it carries a well-built street car comfortably on gasoline, and the low-flow control keeps idle tidy on an engine that was never designed for injectors this large.

Configuration

Denso lower cushions seat the injector the way the factory Denso parts did, and the blue 11mm top suits rails with an 11mm bore. The Skyline GT-R is also listed with a 14mm top, so check which rail your car has.

Features

Characterization data published by Injector Dynamics for an accurate calibration
Developed with Bosch Motorsport and built to Injector Dynamics specification instead of being adapted from a production part
Corrosion-resistant internals rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Denso lower cushions and blue 11mm tops fitted to suit Denso-equipped engines

Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Mitsubishi 3000GT: VR4
Nissan Skyline GT-R: R32 / R33 / R34 | 11mm top version
Toyota: Supra Turbo 1987.5-1992 with 7M-GTE; Supra non-turbo 1993-1998 with 2JZ-GE; 1JZ VVT-i engines; Land Cruiser

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; Denso, EV1 or OBD2 engine wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Many of these engines use Denso injector plugs, so check the connector on your car before fitting
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
