Will the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a Denso cushion fit my Evo IX?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with an 11mm top and Denso lower cushion, set of four, for the Evo III through IX. The Eclipse GST and GSX and the Galant VR4 take the same set. Check whether your wiring needs a USCAR adapter before installation.

What is a Denso lower cushion?

It is the lower seal style used by Denso injectors, a cushion in place of a round O-ring. Engines designed around Denso injectors have manifold bores made for it, so Injector Dynamics fits it to this set to keep the factory seal arrangement without machining or spacers.

Can an Evo or DSM run E85 or methanol on these?

Yes. The ID2600-XDS is rated for methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels, with corrosion resistant internals for long service on alcohol. An Evo, Eclipse or Galant VR4 on methanol fits this flow class well. Ethers and nitromethane are the fuels Injector Dynamics does not approve.

Who should tune an Evo with these injectors?

A tuner who knows your engine management and has calibrated large injectors before. The 2600 spends its idle time at very short pulse widths on a four cylinder, so the Injector Dynamics characterization data has to go in first, followed by careful idle and transient work.

What warranty applies to the Evo and DSM set?

Injector Dynamics covers the four injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided they run the correct fuel with proper filtration. A single failed injector is replaced through Injector Dynamics to keep the matched set even, and a cleaning and flow test service is available in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a blue 11mm top and a Denso lower cushion make up the four-injector set Injector Dynamics lists for the Evo III to IX, the Eclipse GST and GSX, the Galant VR4 and several Toyota and Scion fours. The Denso cushion is the lower seal those engines were designed around, so the set drops into the factory bores. At 2600cc/min nominal, four of these suit a heavily built Evo or DSM engine on methanol or E85 with a big turbo. A Corolla, Matrix or xB on gasoline would use only a small part of this flow.

Configuration

D in the part number is the Denso lower cushion, fitted in place of an O-ring. The top is the blue 11mm seal on the 60mm body.

Features

Highest-flowing injector Bosch offers, developed jointly with Injector Dynamics
Rated to 9 bar differential fuel pressure
Corrosion-resistant construction for alcohol fuels over the long term
Set matched with Dual Slope Matching, so balance holds down into the non-linear range

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm (blue)
Lower: Denso lower cushion

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm tops and Denso lower cushions (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Mitsubishi: Evo III-IX, Eclipse GST and GSX, Galant VR4
Scion xB: 2001-2015
Toyota: Corolla GTS 1983-1987 4AGE, Corolla CE, S and LE 2003-2004, Matrix 2001-2003, MR-2 1990-1996 5SFE non-turbo

Notes

The connector is USCAR; plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and Honda wiring are separate parts, with the Denso version listed as the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Denso lower cushions are fitted to suit engines designed for Denso injectors
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data
The ID2600-XDS needs at least 11 volts to operate

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
