What is the difference between the 15mm and 14mm lower versions?

Only the lower seal. This set uses a 15mm orange O-ring at the bottom of the 34mm body, while the 14mm version uses a smaller one. The seal has to match the bore it sits in, so check the lower O-ring on your current injectors or the manifold specification before ordering.

Which engines take the ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in a set of six?

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for the ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this six piece form. The same 34mm body and 15mm lower seal are listed for GM LS engines as a set of eight, so this set suits custom six cylinder fuel systems built around that injector.

Will the set idle cleanly on gasoline?

Yes, with a correct calibration. When Injector Dynamics raised the flow of the 1050 about five percent over the ID1000, it kept the low flow behavior, so short pulses at idle and cruise stay consistent. Your tuner needs the characterization data to make use of it.

Can I fit these to the engine and keep my current tune?

No. A calibration written for the old injectors will deliver the wrong amount of fuel with these fitted, at idle as well as under load. Your tuner needs to load the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS, covering flow, offset and short pulse behavior, before the engine is driven hard.

If one 34mm injector fails, can I replace only that one?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics. The six 34mm injectors are flow matched, so a single replacement has to be supplied by the maker to keep the group consistent. Warranty runs one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, on condition that the correct fuel and proper filtration were used, and Injector Dynamics can also clean, inspect and flow test used injectors in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 15mm Lower O-Rings, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this six-piece set pair the short 34mm body with a 14mm top O-ring and a larger 15mm orange lower O-ring. Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle list for the six-injector version, so it suits a builder who already knows the engine takes a 34mm injector with a 15mm lower seal. In the eight-injector form, the same seals are listed for GM LS3, LS7, LS9 and LSA engines. If your old injectors match, six 1065cc/min injectors with a 10 bar limit give a custom six-cylinder room for boost or E85.

Configuration

The ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this set read as family 1050, a 34mm body, 14mm top, 15mm lower and six injectors. There is no top adapter.

Features

Built with Bosch Motorsport, with corrosion-resistant internals
Rated for every known fuel, ethanol and methanol included
Stable to 10 bar differential pressure
Six injectors flow matched, each with a replaceable inlet filter

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: No adapter; 14mm O-ring on the injector body
Lower: 15mm O-ring (orange)

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 15mm lower O-rings (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 34mm injector with a 14mm top O-ring and a 15mm lower O-ring.

Notes

Fitted with the larger 15mm orange lower O-ring; engines with a 14mm lower bore need the 14mm version
Plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and OBD2 wiring are not included with these USCAR-connector injectors; Denso-wired engines can use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Budget for an ECU recalibration, as the tuner needs the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 1050

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
