Will this set fit my STi with the factory side-feed rails?

No. Application code 18.01 is for a 2004 to 2006 STi converted to top-feed fuel rails. The factory side-feed rails take a different injector design. If your car still has its original rails, you need the rail conversion first, or an injector configured for side-feed use.

Is the ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set right for an E85 STi?

Yes, for a big-turbo build. The ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set is rated for long term ethanol and methanol use, and E85 needs much more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power. On a stock-turbo STi, the ID1300-XDS or ID1750-XDS set for the same conversion is a closer match.

Can I install these and drive the car on the old tune?

No. The factory or existing calibration is built around a much smaller injector and would overfuel badly. Your tuner needs the Injector Dynamics characterization data, including flow, a 605 microsecond offset at 43.5 psi and 12 volts, and short pulse adders, to rebuild the fuel tables.

What voltage do these injectors need?

Injector Dynamics specifies a minimum of 11 volts for the ID2600-XDS. Check that the charging system and injector wiring deliver at least that under load, because voltage drop changes injector response. The tuner also uses the published battery voltage offset data to correct for normal variation.

How is the warranty handled?

Injector Dynamics warrants the set for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, conditional on correct fuel and proper filtration. Since the four injectors are flow matched, a single replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics rather than taken from stock. Cleaning, inspection and flow testing are also offered in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Subaru WRX STi 2004-2006 Top-Feed Conversion

Coded 18.01 by Injector Dynamics, this ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set is for the 2004-2006 Subaru WRX STi that has been converted from its factory side-feed injectors to top-feed rails. Each of the four injectors flows 2600cc/min on a 48mm body with a 14mm top adapter. An EJ257 only needs that much fuel with a large turbo and E85 or methanol, so this is a set for a car whose fuel system has already been rebuilt. For a car still on side-feed injectors and pump gasoline, this is the wrong part.

Top-Feed Conversion

The 2004-2006 STi left the factory with side-feed injectors. A top-feed conversion replaces the rails so conventional top-feed injectors can be used, and this set is configured for that layout with a 48mm body and 14mm top.

Features

ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set flow matched as four for the converted STi
Matched by Dual Slope Matching so short pulse widths stay consistent from injector to injector
Rated for methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels over the long term

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors configured for the STi top-feed conversion (x4)

Applications

Subaru WRX STi: 2004-2006 | 2.5L EJ257 converted to top-feed fuel rails

Notes

The injectors carry USCAR plugs, so an engine wired for Denso connectors needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, while EV1 and OBD2 Honda wiring takes adapters sold separately
Intended for a 2004-2006 STi converted from the factory side-feed injectors to top-feed fuel rails
Fit only with a tuner ready to recalibrate the ECU from the published Injector Dynamics characterization data
Also offered as the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set and the ID1750-XDS Fuel Injector Set for the same conversion

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
