Will the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors handle E85 on a boosted eight-cylinder?

Yes. Eight ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors at 1335cc per minute on iso-octane at 3.0 bar, rated for all known fuels, suit a boosted eight-cylinder with a Denso cushion fuel system running E85. The 7.0 bar differential pressure limit matters if regulator pressure climbs under boost.

Will this set fit a Lexus SC400?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the SC400 with an 11mm top, a 60mm body and a Denso lower cushion, in a set of eight. This set has a 14mm top and no published vehicle list, so it suits fuel systems built for that top size instead of the factory SC400 rail.

Does a custom Denso cushion system need tuning for these?

Yes. The engine management must have the flow, offset and short pulse values for the ID1300-XDS, which differ from whatever injector the system used before. Injector Dynamics publishes this characterization data, and the tuner enters it before the engine sees load.

What engines use a Denso lower cushion?

Injector Dynamics lists the Denso lower cushion for a range of Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and Mitsubishi engines, including the Skyline GT-R, the Supra 7M-GTE and the Evolution III to IX. Its listed 14mm-top Denso applications are six injector sets, so this set of eight is for custom or adapted fuel systems.

Is a set of 1300s too much for a mild eight-cylinder?

Yes, often. On pump gasoline with modest boost, the ID1050-XDS at 1065cc per minute may cover the demand. The ID1300-XDS pays off when E85, methanol or a larger turbo or supercharger raises fuel demand, and its gasoline friendly minimum fuel mass keeps idle acceptable in the meantime.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in a set of eight with a purple 14mm top and a Denso lower cushion are offered without a published vehicle list, so they suit eight-injector fuel systems that already take a Denso-cushioned 60mm injector with a 14mm top. Check that combination against your current injectors before anything else. The flow is 1335cc/min per injector at 3.0 bar on iso-octane, the internals are stainless and the design targets alcohol fuels, making the set a candidate for a boosted V8 on E85 or methanol. The 11mm-top Denso set of eight is the one Injector Dynamics lists for the Lexus SC400, so SC400 owners should start there.

Configuration

1300.60.14.D.8 reads as 1300 flow class, 60mm body, 14mm top, Denso lower cushion and eight injectors. Turn 14 lists the 14mm top adapter on this set as purple.

Compact body shared across more than 200 applications
Purple 14mm top adapter and Denso lower cushion, eight injectors per set

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: Denso cushion

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with purple 14mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 60mm injector with a 14mm top and a Denso lower cushion.

Notes

The connectors are USCAR and no adapters are included; Denso wiring takes the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 and OBD2 adapters exist but are not listed here
An ECU recalibration with the Injector Dynamics characterization data is required before the engine is driven
Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle list for this part number; the SC400 is listed with the 11mm-top Denso set of eight

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
