How is the 204 cushion different from a Denso cushion?

Both seat the injector tip in the manifold without a lower O-ring, but the profiles differ, so they are not interchangeable. Injector Dynamics offers the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with each type, and the right one is whichever your engine used from the factory.

Why does my tuner need more than the flow figure?

Because short pulses at idle are dominated by how quickly the injector opens and closes, which a single flow number does not describe. Injector Dynamics publishes offset and short pulse data for the ID1050-XDS, and entering it lets this 204 cushion set meter small amounts of fuel accurately.

Can I run methanol through the 204 cushion set?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1050-XDS for every known fuel, methanol included, with internals built to resist corrosion. Methanol needs much more fuel volume than gasoline, so check that six injectors at 1065cc per minute meet your power target on alcohol before ordering.

What could void the warranty on this set?

Running the wrong fuel or skipping proper filtration, since the one year warranty against manufacturer defects depends on both. Debris from an absent or clogged filter is the usual culprit. Matched sets like this one are serviced by Injector Dynamics, which also cleans and flow tests injectors in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and 204 Lower Cushion, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration pair a blue 11mm top adapter with the 204 lower cushion, a seal arrangement found on fewer engines than the common O-ring versions. Six injectors at 1065cc/min suit a six-cylinder engine with forced induction or alcohol fuel. The 10 bar differential pressure rating gives room for a raised base pressure on a boosted engine. A near-stock engine is better served by a smaller injector.

Configuration

The 204 lower cushion is a specific seal profile used in place of an O-ring or Denso cushion; with the 60mm body and 11mm top it matches a narrow group of fuel systems.

Features

Compact body shared across more than 200 applications in its lengths and seal options
Characterization data published by Injector Dynamics for an accurate calibration
Developed with Bosch Motorsport and built to Injector Dynamics specification instead of being adapted from a production part
204 lower cushion fitted for fuel systems that use that seal profile

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: 204 cushion

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm top adapters and 204 lower cushions fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 60mm injector with an 11mm top and a 204 lower cushion.

Notes

USCAR plugs are standard on this set; for Denso-plug wiring order the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and for EV1 or OBD2 wiring the corresponding Injector Dynamics adapter
No vehicle list is published for the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with this seal set; confirm length, top and lower seal against your current injectors
Budget for tuning time alongside the injectors, since the calibration must be rebuilt around the Injector Dynamics data

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cars use the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a 204 lower cushion? Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this part number. It fits six cylinder fuel systems built for a 60mm injector with an 11mm top and a 204 style lower cushion. If your current injectors share those dimensions, the set fits mechanically.

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
