Which engines take the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with a Denso lower cushion?

Injector Dynamics does not name vehicles for this exact part number. It suits any six cylinder fuel system designed for a 48mm injector with a 14mm top and a Denso style lower cushion. If your current injectors match those three dimensions, the set fits mechanically; if not, another configuration will.

What is a Denso lower cushion?

It is a rubber cushion that seats the injector tip in the manifold, used in place of a lower O-ring on many Denso equipped engines. Getting the lower seal right matters as much as the length, which is why the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are offered with O-rings, cushions and bottom adapters.

Will my six cylinder need retuning after the swap?

Yes. Six injectors flowing 1065cc per minute each will overfuel a calibration written for smaller factory parts. The tuner enters the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS, meaning flow, offset and short pulse behavior, so the engine idles and pulls with accurate fueling.

Is this Denso cushion set suitable for an E85 conversion?

Yes. The ID1050-XDS is rated for all known fuels and its corrosion resistant internals are designed for long service on ethanol. Remember that E85 calls for roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline, so confirm that six injectors at 1065cc per minute cover your ethanol power target.

What if one of the six injectors fails?

Injector Dynamics replaces it directly, because the six are flow matched and an injector from stock would not match the others. The warranty covers manufacturer defects for one year from purchase, provided the injectors ran the correct fuel with proper filtration, and cleaning and flow testing are available in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors here come as six, each with a 14mm top adapter and a Denso-style lower cushion in place of an O-ring, for six-cylinder fuel systems that seat a 48mm injector on a cushion. At 1065cc/min per injector on gasoline, the set gives a straight six or V6 the fuel for serious boost or a switch to ethanol, with a 10 bar pressure rating that leaves room for a high base pressure. On an engine staying near stock it is simply more injector than the job needs.

Configuration

This six-piece set combines the 48mm body, a 14mm top and a Denso lower cushion; match all three to the injectors coming out.

Features

Corrosion-resistant internals rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Stronger magnetic circuit that keeps operation stable up to 10 bar differential pressure
Revised internal flow path adds about five percent over the ID1000 without giving up low-flow control
Denso lower cushion fitted for fuel systems that seat the injector on a cushion

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: Denso cushion

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 48mm injector with a 14mm top and a Denso lower cushion.

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR connector, so a car with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 injector plugs needs adapters, which are not included; the Denso version is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle list for the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration; measure body length and check both seals before ordering
Plan on a recalibration after installation; the tuner needs the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
