Are the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set listed for a particular V8?

No. Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with an 11mm top in a set of eight. The set suits a V8 fuel system already built around a 48mm injector with an 11mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring, so measure before ordering.

What does the 11mm top mean?

It is the diameter of the upper seal that goes into the fuel rail. Injector Dynamics offers 11mm and 14mm tops, and the rail bore decides which one you need. This set has the 11mm top, so it suits rails machined for the smaller seal.

Will these idle on gasoline after the tune?

Yes. Injector Dynamics kept the low flow control of the ID1000 when it developed the 1050, so short pulses at idle and light throttle stay consistent. With the characterization data loaded, a V8 on these injectors can idle and cruise much like stock while the extra capacity waits for boost.

How does my tuner set these injectors up on a V8?

By entering the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS into the engine management. That data covers flow rate, offset at different voltages and the short pulse region, and loading it is what lets a V8 idle cleanly on injectors larger than stock. Plan the tune for the same visit as the installation.

What happens if one of the 11mm top injectors turns out faulty?

Injector Dynamics warrants its injectors against manufacturer defects for one year from purchase, subject to correct fuel and proper filtration. A matched replacement is supplied through Injector Dynamics so all eight 11mm top injectors stay balanced. For injectors with miles on them, the company runs a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of eight pair an 11mm top with a 14mm lower O-ring on the 48mm body, a combination aimed at V8 fuel rails machined for the smaller top seal. Injector Dynamics does not list a specific vehicle for it, which makes it a set for custom and swapped engines more than for factory cars. Each injector flows 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar on gasoline and stays stable to 10 bar of differential pressure. On a mild V8 that is more fuel than the engine can use; the set fits a boosted or ethanol build whose rail was designed around 11mm tops.

Configuration

For the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set, the part number gives family 1050, a 48mm body, an 11mm top, a 14mm lower and eight injectors. Compare all three dimensions with your current injectors before ordering.

Features

Built with Bosch Motorsport, with corrosion-resistant internals
Rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Magnetic circuit strengthened for stable operation to 10 bar
Eight injectors flow matched, each with a replaceable inlet filter

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 11mm
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm tops (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 48mm injector with an 11mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring.

Notes

11mm top for rails machined for the smaller top seal; a 14mm-top version is listed separately
The injectors carry USCAR connectors, so Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, which are not included; the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter covers Denso plugs
The engine must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before it is driven

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
