How do I know whether I need an 11mm or 14mm top?

Check the top O-ring on your current injectors or the bore in the fuel rail. This set has the 11mm top, the smaller of the two, while the 14mm top suits rails with the larger bore. The 48mm length and the 14mm lower seal also need to match what you remove.

Which vehicles are the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with an 11mm top listed for?

None. Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with an 11mm top in a set of six. It suits a six cylinder fuel system already built around a 48mm injector with these seals, which a builder or engine shop can confirm by measuring.

Can I run methanol with these?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the 1050 for all known fuels, methanol included, and the internals are corrosion resistant for long term alcohol use. Methanol needs far more fuel volume than gasoline, so check that six 1065cc per minute injectors cover the planned power on that fuel.

Is a tune required on the six with this set?

Yes. Any change of injector means a change of flow and offset, and the ID1050-XDS also differs from factory parts in how it behaves at very short pulse widths. Injector Dynamics supplies characterization data covering all three, and the calibration for the six has to be updated with it before use.

Are the 11mm top injectors in this set matched to each other?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches all six 11mm top injectors as a group, which is why a single replacement is arranged through the company and not pulled from shelf stock. The warranty lasts one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as the correct fuel and proper filtration are used, and an Arizona service can clean, inspect and flow test the set later on.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of six combine the mid-length 48mm body with an 11mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring. The 11mm top is the smaller of the two top sizes Injector Dynamics offers, and it suits rails machined for the narrower seal. Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle list for this six-injector combination, so measure the injectors you have before choosing it. Where it does fit, six 1065cc/min injectors with a 10 bar limit give a six-cylinder project room for boost or E85, while the low-flow control carried over from the ID1000 keeps idle civil on gasoline.

Configuration

The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set read as family 1050, a 48mm body, an 11mm top, a 14mm lower and six injectors.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport to Injector Dynamics specification
Corrosion-resistant internals rated for all known fuels
About five percent more flow than the ID1000, low-flow control retained
Six injectors flow matched as a set

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 11mm
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm tops (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 48mm injector with an 11mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring.

Notes

11mm top for fuel rails built around the smaller top seal; rails with a 14mm bore need the 14mm-top version
USCAR connectors are fitted; engines wired with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 plugs need Injector Dynamics plug-and-play adapters, sold separately; for Denso wiring see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
