Does this set fit a BA or BF Falcon XR6T?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the BA and BF XR6T for a 60mm injector with a bottom adapter. This 48mm set is listed for the FG XR6T and the third generation BMW B58, so confirm the model before ordering, as the two Falcon generations take different injector lengths.

Why does this set have bottom adapters?

Injector Dynamics builds one compact injector body for more than 200 applications and fits adapters to match each engine. On this set the black 14mm bottom adapter shapes the lower end for the B58 Gen 3 and FG XR6T injector bores, and it arrives fitted to all six injectors.

Will the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors suit a B58 on E85?

Yes. The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are rated for all known fuels, with corrosion resistant internals developed for long term ethanol use. E85 needs more fuel volume than gasoline, so the injector headroom is welcome, but the low pressure pump and the calibration must also be sized for the fuel.

Can I fit these to the B58 or XR6T and keep my current tune?

No. A calibration written for the old injectors will deliver the wrong amount of fuel with these fitted, at idle as well as under load. Your tuner needs to load the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS, covering flow, offset and short pulse behavior, before the B58 or XR6T is driven hard.

What does the warranty cover on this B58 and XR6T set?

Manufacturer defects, for one year from the date of purchase, provided the injectors have run the correct fuel with proper filtration. Because the six B58 and XR6T injectors are flow matched as a set, a single replacement comes through Injector Dynamics, which also offers a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of six, with grey 14mm top adapters and black 14mm bottom adapters, are listed for the third-generation BMW B58 and the FG Ford Falcon XR6T. Both are turbocharged inline-sixes that respond well to tuning, and both reach a point where the factory injectors stop keeping up, particularly on E85. That point is where this set belongs. At 1065cc/min per injector with a 10 bar pressure limit and approval for every known fuel, it covers a big turbo upgrade or a full ethanol conversion, and a stock-turbo car on gasoline will not need it.

Configuration

The part number reads as family 1050, a 48mm body, a 14mm top, a black 14mm bottom adapter and six injectors. The earlier BA and BF Falcon XR6T is listed for a 60mm injector with a bottom adapter.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport, with corrosion-resistant internals
Rated for gasoline, ethanol and methanol
About five percent more flow than the ID1000 without losing low-flow control
Six injectors flow matched as a set

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (black)

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and bottom adapters fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

BMW: B58 Gen 3
Ford Falcon XR6T: FG

Notes

Black 14mm bottom adapters are fitted; BA and BF Falcon XR6T models take a 60mm version
USCAR connectors are fitted; engines wired with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 plugs need Injector Dynamics plug-and-play adapters, sold separately; for Denso wiring see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
