Will the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors support a boosted 2008-2010 Viper on E85?

Yes. Ten ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors at 1335cc per minute each, rated on iso-octane at 3.0 bar, give a supercharged or turbocharged Viper V10 the headroom E85 demands. Injector Dynamics rates the injector for all known fuels and to 7.0 bar of differential pressure, so keep base pressure under boost within that limit.

Does this set fit every Dodge Viper?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this ten injector set with the 14B bottom adapter for the 2008-2010 Viper only. The 2003-2007 Viper uses a 60mm injector with a 14mm lower O-ring, and the 2013-2017 car uses a 48mm injector with the 14V bottom adapter, so match the part to the model year.

Does a Viper need a new tune for these injectors?

Yes. The Viper engine computer has to know the flow, offset and short pulse behavior of the new injectors, and all three differ from the factory parts. Your tuner loads the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS into the calibration before the car is driven hard, so both banks of the V10 fuel accurately.

What is the bottom adapter for?

The adapter fits the lower end of the compact 48mm body and carries the 14mm lower seal, giving the injector the shape the Viper bore calls for. Injector Dynamics uses adapters like this so one compact body can serve more than 200 applications, and this set ships in the configuration listed for the 2008-2010 car.

What warranty covers this set of ten?

Injector Dynamics warrants the injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided the Viper runs the correct fuel through proper filtration. All ten are flow matched as a group, so if one fails, the replacement comes from Injector Dynamics to keep the set consistent across both cylinder banks.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 10

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this ten-piece set pair a 14mm top with a black 14mm bottom adapter, the layout Injector Dynamics specifies for the 2008-2010 Dodge Viper. Every injector is rated at 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane, enough headroom for a V10 running E85 under a supercharger or twin turbos. The 1300 was designed around alternative fuels yet keeps a gasoline-friendly minimum fuel mass, so the car still idles properly before the ethanol arrives. Left naturally aspirated on pump gas, a Viper gains nothing from this much injector.

Configuration

Read the part number left to right: 1300 flow class, 48mm body, 14mm top, 14B bottom adapter, ten injectors. Turn 14 describes the adapter on this set as black. The 2003-2007 Viper takes a 60mm injector and the 2013-2017 car a different 48mm configuration, so check the year before ordering.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 10
Designed specifically for alternative fuels and compatible with all known fuels
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Black 14mm bottom adapters, as Injector Dynamics specifies for the 2008-2010 Viper

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (black)

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and black 14mm bottom adapters (x10)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Dodge Viper: 2008-2010

Notes

USCAR plugs are fitted, so Denso, EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
An ECU recalibration with the Injector Dynamics characterization data is required before the engine is driven
Each injector carries the 14mm bottom adapter that defines this configuration; the 2003-2007 and 2013-2017 Vipers use different Injector Dynamics sets

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
