Why does this set contain sixteen injectors?

Sixteen is the count Injector Dynamics lists for the McLaren 720S and Senna in this configuration, so one set replaces the full complement on those cars. Ordering them as one matched group of sixteen keeps flow consistent across the engine, which a mix of separately bought sets could not guarantee.

Is this a direct replacement for the factory 720S injectors?

Yes, mechanically. Injector Dynamics lists this 34mm configuration with 14mm top and lower O-rings for the 720S and Senna, and no adapters are needed to fit it. The USCAR connectors suit USCAR wiring, and the engine calibration must be updated with the Injector Dynamics data before driving.

Do the ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors make sense on a stock 720S?

No. On a stock car the ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors add capacity the factory calibration will never call for. The set earns its place when the car runs larger turbochargers, more boost or ethanol, where fuel demand rises well beyond stock and the tuner wants headroom while keeping a clean idle on gasoline.

What has to change in the calibration?

Injector flow, offset and short pulse values all change with this set, so the fuel model must be updated using the Injector Dynamics characterization data. The tuner then adjusts fueling for the boost, fuel type and power target. Driving before this is done risks a very rich mixture.

What warranty and support come with the set?

Injector Dynamics provides one year of cover from purchase against manufacturer defects, conditional on the correct fuel and proper filtration. Single replacements for the matched set come from Injector Dynamics, and its Arizona facility offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing for older injectors.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 16

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors come as a set of sixteen in this configuration, the count Injector Dynamics lists for the McLaren 720S and Senna, each a short 34mm body sealing on 14mm O-rings at the top and bottom. Sixteen injectors at 1335cc/min apiece is a great deal of fuel, which makes sense for a heavily tuned car running ethanol or a high-boost map. Thanks to its gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass, the 1300 still idles cleanly when the tank holds pump fuel. On a factory-tuned car it adds cost without adding anything usable.

Configuration

With no top adapter on the 34mm body, the 14mm top O-ring seals directly in the fuel rail, and a 14mm lower O-ring seals the tip. The sixteen injectors are flow matched as one set, so all of them deliver the same fuel for a given pulse.

Features

Compatible with all known fuels, with a design aimed at ethanol and methanol
Gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass, so part-throttle fueling stays controllable
Rated to 7.0 bar differential fuel pressure
Flow matched as a set of sixteen, with characterization data for the calibration

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: 14mm O-ring, no adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and lower O-rings (x16)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

McLaren: 720S, Senna

Notes

The injectors use USCAR plugs; for factory Denso connectors add the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, while EV1 and OBD2 adapters are available from Injector Dynamics
Book the calibration with the install, because the ECU cannot run these injectors correctly on factory injector data
Supplied as a matched set of sixteen, the count Injector Dynamics lists for the 720S and Senna

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
