Does this set fit the EA888 Gen 3 in both Audi and Volkswagen models?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this 34mm configuration with 14mm top and lower O-rings as a set of four for the EA888 Gen 3 in both Audi and Volkswagen applications. Confirm that your engine is a Gen 3 before ordering, since earlier EA888 versions are not on the list for this part number.

Are the ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors overkill for a tuned EA888?

Yes, for a gasoline car on a stock or slightly larger turbo. The ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors make sense when a much larger turbo and E85 or methanol push fuel demand far past stock. Smaller flow classes in the same length keep more pulse width at idle for milder builds.

Will I need software changes after fitting?

Yes. The ECU needs the flow, offset and short pulse characteristics of the 2600 so it can command accurate fuel. Injector Dynamics publishes that data, including a 605 microsecond offset at 43.5 psi and 12 volts, and the tuner builds it into the calibration before the car is driven.

How do these injectors connect to the engine wiring?

They use USCAR connectors. If the plugs on your engine are a different style, Injector Dynamics makes plug and play adapters, including USCAR to Denso, so the injectors connect without cutting wires. Check the plug on an existing injector well before installation day.

Which fuels are these injectors rated for?

Injector Dynamics rates the ID2600-XDS for methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels, with internals designed for long term alcohol use. It is not rated for ethers such as MTBE, ETBE or TAME, or for nitromethane, so check any race fuel for ether content before using it.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this four-piece set are the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the EA888 Gen 3 in Audi and Volkswagen models. Each flows a nominal 2600cc/min, which is a great deal of fuel for a 2.0L four-cylinder, so this is a set for a big-turbo EA888 burning E85 or methanol rather than a tuned car on pump gasoline. A gasoline car with a modest turbo upgrade is better served by a smaller flow class. The 34mm body seals with a 14mm O-ring at the top and bottom, with no top adapter, and Dual Slope Matching keeps the four balanced at short pulse widths.

Configuration

The 34 in the part number is the 34mm body length, and the two 14s refer to the 14mm O-rings at the top and the lower end. The same flow class also comes in 48mm and 60mm lengths, so confirm the length of your existing injectors.

Features

Highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers, about 50 percent more than the ID1700x
Long-term ethanol and methanol compatibility alongside all known hydrocarbon fuels
Rated to 9.0 bar differential pressure for high base pressure under boost

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: 14mm O-ring, no top adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm O-rings top and bottom (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Audi: EA888 Gen 3
Volkswagen: EA888 Gen 3

Notes

The injectors carry USCAR plugs, so an engine wired for Denso connectors needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, while EV1 and OBD2 Honda wiring takes adapters sold separately
No top adapter is used on the 34mm body; 14mm O-rings seal both ends
Fit only with a tuner ready to recalibrate the ECU from the published Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
