Will the ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors fit an Evo IX?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with the 11mm top and Denso lower cushion for the Lancer Evolution III through IX, the Eclipse GST and GSX and the Galant VR4. A big turbo Evo on E85 is the typical use, and the car needs a new calibration either way.

What is a Denso lower cushion?

It is the lower seal used where the manifold was designed around a Denso style injector, fitted in place of the usual lower O-ring. Injector Dynamics specifies it for the Mitsubishi and Toyota engines in its table for this configuration, so the injector seats and seals the way the factory part did.

What does an Evo or DSM tuner need for these injectors?

The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1750-XDS, covering flow, offset and short pulse width behaviour across voltage and fuel pressure. Loaded into the calibration for the 4G63, it lets the tuner spend dyno time on boost and timing instead of fixing idle and tip in fueling on the four injectors.

Should a 4G63 build pick the 1050 or the 1750?

The ID1050-XDS flows 1065cc per minute and handles up to 10 bar, which suits a gasoline Evo or DSM on a moderate turbo. The ID1750-XDS flows 1728cc per minute with a 7 bar limit, so it belongs on a big turbo 4G63 running E85, where fuel demand outruns the 1050.

Will I have to splice the Evo injector wiring?

No. These injectors use USCAR connectors, and where the car has Denso, EV1 or Honda style plugs, an Injector Dynamics plug and play adapter bridges the gap without splicing. The adapters are sold separately, one per injector, so order four with the set for an Evo, Eclipse or Galant VR4.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in a four-cylinder set with a blue 11mm top and a Denso lower cushion suit the 4G63 Lancer Evolution, the Eclipse GST and GSX and the Galant VR4, along with several Toyota and Scion engines in Injector Dynamics’ table. Each injector flows 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar, which suits a big-turbo Evo or DSM moving to E85. The Corolla, Matrix and MR2 engines on the list will only need it with forced induction and a serious fuel plan.

Configuration

The Denso lower cushion replaces a conventional lower O-ring and matches manifolds machined for Denso-style injectors.

Features

Denso lower cushions in place of lower O-rings, for Denso-style manifold bores
Improved pressure sensitivity compared with the ID1700
Offset published at 1169 microseconds at 43.5 psi and 12 volts

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset: 1169 microseconds at 43.5 psi and 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: Denso lower cushion

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Mitsubishi: Lancer Evolution III to IX, Eclipse GST and GSX, Galant VR4
Scion xB: 2001-2015
Toyota Corolla: GTS 1983-1987 4AGE; CE, S and LE 2003-2004
Toyota Matrix: 2001-2003
Toyota MR2: naturally aspirated | 1990-1996 | 5SFE

Notes

The Denso lower cushion is specific to this configuration; engines with a lower O-ring seat need a different part number
The injectors use USCAR plugs, so engines with Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 connectors need plug-and-play adapters, which are not included; the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter covers Denso wiring
Plan a tune alongside the install, since the calibration needs the published Injector Dynamics flow and offset data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
