Does this set fit the McLaren 720S?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 720S and Senna for the 34mm configuration as a set of sixteen, which is a different part number. This set of eight is listed for the MP4-12C, 570S, 600LT, 650S, 675LT and P1. Contact us for the sixteen piece set if you have a 720S or Senna.

Why would a McLaren need the ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors?

Most do not. The ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors are for cars with larger turbos running E85 or methanol, where fuel volume rises well beyond stock. A McLaren on factory turbos and pump gasoline is better left with a smaller injector, or with a flow class matched to the real power target.

Will the factory ECU accept these injectors?

Yes, but only with a recalibration. The ECU must be loaded with the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 2600, covering flow, offset and short pulse behavior, before the car is driven. Work with a tuner who supports the McLaren platform and has handled injector changes before.

How closely matched are the eight injectors?

Injector Dynamics matches each set with Dual Slope Matching, comparing the injectors in the linear range and in the non-linear short pulse range. That keeps fuel delivery even across all eight cylinders from idle to full load, which is why single replacements come through Injector Dynamics rather than from stock.

When are adapters needed for the wiring?

That depends on the plugs on your engine. The ID2600-XDS uses USCAR connectors. Engines wired with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 plugs need the matching Injector Dynamics plug and play adapter, sold separately. Inspect a factory plug before installation to confirm which applies.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 8

For McLaren’s twin-turbo V8 cars, Injector Dynamics lists this set of eight ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors, covering the MP4-12C, 570S, 600LT, 650S, 675LT and P1. Those engines already make serious power, and the case for 2600cc/min injectors comes with larger turbos and a move to E85 or methanol, where the fuel system has to supply far more volume. On factory turbos and pump gasoline the set is oversized. The short 34mm body uses 14mm O-rings top and bottom without adapters, and Dual Slope Matching keeps all eight even at the short pulse widths seen at idle and light cruise.

Configuration

Eight short 34mm bodies with a 14mm top O-ring in place of an adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring. The 720S and Senna are also on the Injector Dynamics list for this length, but as a set of sixteen, so they need a different part number.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport for liquid fuels, with corrosion-resistant internals
Highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers, about 50 percent more than the ID1700x
Long-term ethanol and methanol compatibility alongside all known hydrocarbon fuels

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: 14mm O-ring, no top adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm O-rings top and bottom (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

McLaren: MP4-12C, 570S, 600LT, 650S, 675LT and P1

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; engines wired with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 plugs need plug-and-play adapters, sold separately, and for Denso wiring see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
The 720S and Senna take this length as a set of sixteen under a different part number
The ID2600-XDS needs at least 11 volts to operate, so a weak charging system or thin wiring should be corrected first
The engine must be retuned for these injectors with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before it is driven

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
