Why do the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors for a Whipple Coyote have a blue bottom adapter?

Injector Dynamics specifies the blue 14mm bottom adapter on the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors for the Coyote with a Whipple supercharger, to suit the Whipple lower injector bore. A non-Whipple Coyote uses the silver adapter version, so the color tells the two sets apart.

Can I use these on a Coyote without a Whipple?

Not as listed. Injector Dynamics specifies this set for the Whipple supercharged Coyote. A factory manifold or other supercharger uses the 60mm set with the silver 14mm bottom adapter, listed for the 2011 and later Mustang GT and F150 5.0.

How will a Whipple Coyote idle on these?

Evenly, once calibrated. Injector Dynamics uses Dual Slope Matching on the 2600, covering the short pulse range where a Whipple Coyote spends its idle time with injectors this large. The tune has to use the published characterization data for the injector to achieve it.

Do I need to change the Whipple tune for these?

Yes. The existing Whipple calibration holds data for the current injectors, and eight 2600s will not match it. Your tuner loads the Injector Dynamics characterization data, then adjusts fuel and timing for the pulley, boost and fuel the car will run.

What warranty comes with the Whipple set?

One year from purchase against manufacturer defects, from Injector Dynamics, as long as the injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration. A single failure is replaced through Injector Dynamics so the eight stay matched, and Injector Dynamics can clean and flow test the set in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Blue Bottom Adapter, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set of eight are built for the 2011 and later Coyote 5.0 with a Whipple supercharger, with purple 14mm top adapters and blue 14mm bottom adapters. The blue adapter is what separates the Whipple version from the standard Coyote set, so order this one when the Whipple manifold is on the engine. At 2600cc/min nominal each, the eight suit a Whipple Coyote on E85 or methanol with the pulley sized for big power. A Whipple car on pump gasoline at the base boost level will be easier to calibrate on an ID1300-XDS.

Configuration

W in the part number is the blue 14mm bottom adapter, the lower configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Whipple Coyote. The top is the purple 14mm adapter on the 60mm body.

Features

Highest-flowing injector Bosch offers, developed jointly with Injector Dynamics
Rated to 9 bar differential fuel pressure
Corrosion-resistant construction for alcohol fuels over the long term
Set matched with Dual Slope Matching, so balance holds down into the non-linear range

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (blue)

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and blue 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Ford 5.0 Coyote with Whipple supercharger: 2011+

Notes

The connector is USCAR; plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and Honda wiring are separate parts, with the Denso version listed as the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Blue 14mm bottom adapters are fitted, the version Injector Dynamics specifies for the Whipple Coyote
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data
The ID2600-XDS needs at least 11 volts to operate

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
