Will this set fit a 2008 to 2010 Viper?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2008 to 2010 Viper for a set with black 14mm bottom adapters. This set has gold bottom adapters and is listed for the 2013 to 2017 Viper, so check the model year before ordering, since the adapters differ between generations.

What does the gold bottom adapter do?

It shapes the lower end of the 48mm injector to suit the 2013 to 2017 Viper injector bore. Injector Dynamics matches one compact injector body to more than 200 applications with top and bottom adapters, and the gold adapter is the one specified for this engine. It comes fitted.

Should I choose the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors or a higher flow class?

Choose by fuel demand. The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors flow 1065cc per minute on gasoline and handle 10 bar. The ID1300-XDS flows about 1335cc per minute, is rated to 7 bar and was designed around alternative fuels, so it suits larger ethanol builds.

Is a tune required on the Viper with this set?

Yes. Any change of injector means a change of flow and offset, and the ID1050-XDS also differs from factory parts in how it behaves at very short pulse widths. Injector Dynamics supplies characterization data covering all three, and the calibration for the Viper has to be updated with it before use.

How long is the warranty on the Viper set?

One year from purchase, covering manufacturer defects. The cover depends on running the correct fuel through proper filtration, so a fresh fuel filter belongs in the installation. Single replacements for a matched set of ten Viper injectors are handled by Injector Dynamics, which also offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing in Arizona for injectors that have seen service.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Gold Bottom Adapter, Set of 10

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of ten are fitted with grey 14mm top adapters and gold 14mm bottom adapters, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 2013-2017 Viper. That generation of the V10 has its own lower adapter, so it does not share injectors with the 2008-2010 car. On a stock Viper the factory injectors are adequate. When the car is being supercharged, turbocharged or converted to E85, ten 1065cc/min injectors rated to 10 bar give the tuner the fuel to work with, and the flow-matched set keeps all ten cylinders even at light load.

Configuration

The part number reads as family 1050, a 48mm body, a 14mm top, the gold 14mm bottom adapter coded V, and ten injectors. The gold adapter is what separates this set from the black-adapter set for the 2008-2010 Viper.

Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and gold bottom adapters fitted (x10)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Dodge Viper: 2013-2017

Notes

Gold 14mm bottom adapters are fitted to suit the 2013-2017 Viper
The 2008-2010 Viper takes black bottom adapters and is listed for a separate set
Plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and OBD2 wiring are not included with these USCAR-connector injectors; Denso-wired engines can use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Budget for an ECU recalibration, as the tuner needs the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 1050

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
