Will the valved mufflers drone on the highway?

No. With the factory valves closed, the internally baffled double-wall tips hold volume to roughly the level of the factory mufflers with their valves open, so the cabin stays refined and free of drone at a cruise. As the valves open under throttle, the full 3 inch path gives a louder, fuller OEM Plus note. You get a quiet daily setting and an engaged one from one pair.

Do they work with the factory exhaust valves and Sport Exhaust button?

Yes. The mufflers are built around the factory electronic valve actuator and PSE programming, so the valves open and close exactly as Porsche intended and you control the sound from the standard Sport Exhaust button. No aftermarket valve controller is needed. The progressively modulating factory valves give you two usable sound modes from one pair of mufflers.

What are the SOUL Valved Sport Mufflers made from?

The muffler bodies are fabricated in 304 and 316L stainless steel, and the tip outlets are 3D metal printed from 316L with internal baffling and a double-wall finish. SOUL chooses stainless over the factory titanium for long-term durability. The connecting tubing is mandrel-bent .065 inch T304L stainless, back-purged TIG welded in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Do I need anything else to run the mufflers?

No. The Valved Sport Mufflers for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S replace the factory muffler section and bolt to the factory downpipe, so they work on their own with no tune required. For more flow and a stronger note you can add the SOUL Sport Cat X-Pipe, and the two together make up the complete SOUL Valved Exhaust Package.

Are the valved mufflers hard to install?

No. They are a bolt-on replacement for the factory muffler section, rated Level-1 install difficulty, and SOUL includes an install guide. Each pair is 3D scanned to the factory exhaust and fixture-tested for fitment before shipping, and the water-jet brackets index to the factory hangers, so the mufflers line up without modification.

SOUL Performance’s Valved Sport Mufflers for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S give the first hybrid 911 Turbo S two personalities from one muffler section, sophisticated when you want it and thrilling when you ask. Designed and hand-built in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, they are 3D scanned to the factory exhaust and underbody, then fabricated in 304 and 316L stainless steel with mandrel-bent .065 inch T304L tubing and internally baffled, 3D metal printed double-wall tips. With the factory valves closed they route gas through a baffled secondary path for a quiet, drone-free cruise; as the valves open they clear a true 3 inch flow path for stronger response and a fuller voice. They are finished to a standard worthy of the 701 hp T-Hybrid, and they bolt on using the factory valve control and PSE programming.

Construction

The muffler bodies are fabricated in 304 and 316L stainless steel rather than the factory titanium, a deliberate choice SOUL makes for long-term durability, and the tip outlets are 3D metal printed from 316L with internal baffling and a double-wall finish. Connecting tubing is mandrel-bent from .065 inch wall T304L stainless, and every joint is back-purged TIG welded with ARCAL Prime argon over thick aluminum heat-sink fixtures that prevent warpage as the welds cool. Mounting brackets are water-jet cut to ISO 9001:2015 standards and held to a ±0.003 inch tolerance, so the mufflers index to the factory hangers and bolt on without fuss.

Development and Testing

SOUL 3D scanned the factory exhaust and the underside of the car to model the available space exactly, then ran several rounds of testing to balance open flow against closed-valve sound control. The goal was a muffler section that disappears into the background at a cruise and comes alive on demand, matched precisely to the factory valve actuator so no aftermarket controller is needed.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
